I'm the luckiest person to live and work here and am never going to get to the bottom of the list of things we want to do here. There's another pond to go in, more flagstone and all you lovely guests to meet from all over the world. When we opened to guests four years ago I had no idea that it would be so enjoyable, it's a pleasure to be here and I hope it is for you.
Jill purchased this Barn in 1988
Why Jill chose Cranbrook
We loved this area of England and spent 2 years looking for suitable land to buy, then spent ten years trying for planning permission and finally got it. We wanted to build in the true style of Kent and we hope you will approve of the results
What makes this Barn unique
Our farm stands within a truly delightful 43 acres of beautiful quiet contryside with georgous view. We have two lakes of 12 acres to stroll around and over the last ten years we have planted 12,000 native broadleaf trees with walk ways through. This all creates the perfect place to just chill out or explore the delights of south east England

We really enjoyed our short break
Wonderful property, wonderful location.
Our first vist to Kent and we couldn't have chosen a better base to explore from.
Thanks Jill for your hospitality.
The best and nicest place we have stayed ever
Delightful from start to finish, would fully recommend
Wonderful property in a stunning location
The Oak Barn at Waters End is absolutely wonderful and set in beautiful grounds, ideal for a quiet “get away from it all” holiday/short break, the only noise coming from the birds and wildlife. Maurice and Jill along with Lily the dog make you feel very welcome. A lovely cream tea awaited us on arrival. The property is spacious, clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Waters End is ideally situated to visit many gardens, historic properties, RAF museums and also the coast. Would thoroughly recommend a stay in the Oak Barn, you will not find a better property or location.
The property is amazing... Outside: meadows and ponds to wander with terrific terrace for viewing it all, and inside: every room comfortable, interesting architecturally, and with all needs met. Our hosts Jill and Maurice were so friendly and interesting, and Jill was incredibly helpful, going well out of her way to help when we had a bit of a medical issue upon our arrival. All four of us would enthusiastically recommend this gem!
Luxury and comfort despite The Beast from the East
Dispute The Beast from the East we had a wonderful stay the cottage was snug warm and homely. Sitting by the wood burner watching the snow falling was a real escape from it all. The acres of land were a snowy wonderland for both us and our dog. A beautiful cottage with everything you could ask for.
