I'm the luckiest person to live and work here and am never going to get to the bottom of the list of things we want to do here. There's another pond to go in, more flagstone and all you lovely guests to meet from all over the world. When we opened to guests four years ago I had no idea that it would be so enjoyable, it's a pleasure to be here and I hope it is for you.
Jill purchased this Barn in 1988
Why Jill chose Cranbrook
We loved this area of England and spent 2 years looking for suitable land to buy, then spent ten years trying for planning permission and finally got it. We wanted to build in the true style of Kent and we hope you will approve of the results
What makes this Barn unique
Our farm stands within a truly delightful 43 acres of beautiful quiet contryside with georgous view. We have two lakes of 12 acres to stroll around and over the last ten years we have planted 12,000 native broadleaf trees with walk ways through. This all creates the perfect place to just chill out or explore the delights of south east England

Lovely New Year break
We had a lovely stay at the barn for a few days over New Year. The accommodation was perfect for us and our two dogs, we were welcomed on arrival with a superb cream tea and a lovely strawberries and cream sponge cake. The grounds were excellent for our dogs and the location was superb. Slightly disappointing that the underfloor heating wasn't working and we found the range cooker to be a little hit and miss too but neither spoiled our time there and we would be very happy to re-visit.
Very restful ... lovely venue!
Thank you so much for a very peaceful visit in a cosy and v well kept property.
We really enjoyed our short break
Wonderful property, wonderful location.
Our first vist to Kent and we couldn't have chosen a better base to explore from.
Thanks Jill for your hospitality.
The best and nicest place we have stayed ever
Delightful from start to finish, would fully recommend
Wonderful property in a stunning location
The Oak Barn at Waters End is absolutely wonderful and set in beautiful grounds, ideal for a quiet “get away from it all” holiday/short break, the only noise coming from the birds and wildlife. Maurice and Jill along with Lily the dog make you feel very welcome. A lovely cream tea awaited us on arrival. The property is spacious, clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Waters End is ideally situated to visit many gardens, historic properties, RAF museums and also the coast. Would thoroughly recommend a stay in the Oak Barn, you will not find a better property or location.
