1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, 4th floor condo 200 yards off the ocean's edge

Perennially fresh & clean. Freshly painted, carpeted & furnished, 2 new queen beds + 1 sleeper; 2 flat screens, cable + DVD, full kitchen, + washer & dryer, wireless internet. Phenomenal views, sounds, access to & use of the ocean.

Complete redesign of kitchen + new appliances in December 2013. Fresh paint & bed linens too. Bathroom was completely remodeled in November of 2014. New carpeting in December of 2015. Keyless entry pad for guests. Villa is part of Amelia Surf & Racquet Club which is exceptionally well maintained. Please note:I use a local property manager because I want my guests to have access to the human touch if they have a need. I now accept payment through VRBO. In fact, unless you have my contact number or email its now the only way that a guest can book because VRBO now redacts all contact information, either from me or to me, until a deposit is made. As someone said many years ago, He/She who has the most data wins & VRBO has achieved that.

Our intention in choosing this property was to keep it well maintained & very low key; we were & continue to be successful. Years ago our island neighbors were pickup trucks driving on the beach. This has evolved to where our neighbor is a Ritz Carlton 2 doors down; Walmart is now on the island as well as over 100 restaurants however the Surf and Racquet Club remains quiet and peaceful while providing easy access to every amenity on the island.

The absolute best place for a couple to unwind

This was our third time renting #476107 at Amelia Island. The owner, John B is very helpful when your ready to book this rental. The condo is on the fourth floor and directly overlooks the ocean. We have spent many relaxing hours just sipping wine and watching the surf. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. One of the best rentals we have had.

The best couple’s retreat anywhere

We are regular renters of this unit. John B. operates a fine condo. I believe this is our fifth time at his condo. It has a totally unobstructed view of the Atlantic and views from the living room and bedroom. There is a balcony with a bar height bistro unit which my wife enjoys so she can see over the railing. He makes sure your comfort is top priority. We'll be back in the spring hopefully. Thanks, John

Well maintained, great location, quiet

Close to the beach and pool, loved parking right beside the building. Room was nicely furnished, well stocked with supplies, and clean. Could use a deadbolt lock on the door to make it a little more secure.

Perfect Condo, Perfect Ocean View

This one bedroom condo was perfect for my vacation. Very easy to get to and right on the beach. Very nice furnishings: great bed, dining table, great flat-screen TV's, modern appliances. The only problem is how slow water drains in the shower. I would "crack" the double-glass doors in the bedroom (directly overlooks the ocean) and go to sleep w/the sound of the waves. Sunrise is spectacular either sitting right outside on the patio of the living and bedroom, or strolling on the beach. Spent every morning w/coffee and breakfast looking at the beach from the Condo. Because of how the property (all properties in the area) is designed, it is very quiet and peaceful. Extremely relaxing. Really love the south-side of Amelia Island. Very beautiful. Amelia is easy to get around. This part of the island has tree canopies overlooking the Amelia Island Parkway, great biking and walking trails. Can bike/walk a little or a lot w/bike trail part of the East Coast Greenway connecting to Little and Big Talbot Island. Very well marked and maintained. Grocery store nearby and very good restaurants. This condo is part of "The Surf and Racquet Club." Right next door to the Ritz Carlton. Very close to the Omni and Amelia Island Plantation. I highly recommend "Sunrise Cafe" at the Plantation. Best quality b'fast I have ever had! :-) The owner was very responsive to any of my questions. The only negative is NOT the condo or owner. It is the crazy fees these rental companies put on top of the nightly rate. You would think that those fees would be covered in the actual cost of the straight daily/nightly rate like hotels do. Would be less complicated and much more appealing. I do hope to return again sometime to Amelia Island and go to the other great restaurants I missed this time. )) I do not look forward to using VRBO or similar ....
