Highly desirable location alongside Village Run ski trail at Sugarbush Ski Resort in Vermont. Top floor features large living room and dining area, kitchen and master bedroom. Downstairs features foyer, three bedrooms and full bath. Suitable for two families. The condo has a modern design aesthetic. Originally built as one of the "Habitat '67" apartments from Montreal it was shipped down to VT in the '70's. Stunning views.

Confortable, warm apartment for ski trip
My family consisted of my hubby and I and our kids aged 9, 7, 5yo.
We found this apartment suited our needs perfectly and we actually spent more time there than planned because one of our kids caught a bad cold and was in bed for 3 days. This meant we ate in more than expected and the kitchen contained everything we needed.
It was clean and comfortable, although some of the furniture is looking a little bit worn and scratched. The dining table is great, good size. The TV, stove, fridge, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, heaters and wood burning fireplace all worked really, really well. Before my stay I had emailed the owner to ask if there was a blender for the healthy and filling smoothies we had recently started drinking. I just wanted to know whether I should pack mine. I think the owner bought a blender just for us! The one that is there looked new and worked great. So, great customer service there! Thank you!
This apartment is on a corner and has a beautiful view of Sugarbush through its large windows. It was warm and I found the shelves next to the door had a heater underneath so was perfect for placing damp gloves overnight. In fact those shelves and the hooks were plentiful and so helpful when you’ve got 5 people’s worth of ski stuff. The house could sleep 8 and that area could certainly hold everyone’s ski stuff.
The road leading up to the apartment building is one road that changes names then it makes a hairpin bend around to the left. At first we thought we must have passed it and turned back to look more carefully but in fact we had stopped way short, before the bend. When you walk-in the front door there is the large area with hooks and shelves and there is a bedroom with a bunk bed, another bedroom with a bunk bed, a bathroom, then another bedroom that has 2 twin beds pushed together, then the stairs up to the next level which has the open living and dining rooms, kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and attached bathroom. The bedrooms all had plenty of drawers and hanging space. The bathrooms looked recently updated and were beautiful with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The (new looking) washer/dryer are in the upstairs bathroom. There were plenty of good quality, clean towels, hand towels, washcloths and half of them looked new. The pictures really don’t do it justice, it was nice and comfortable.
Allison, thank you for your great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip and we hope you consider us again in the future!
Large condo, nice location, could use maintenance
This is a large condo that can easily accommodates 8 comfortably. Getting to Sugarbush will require driving (4 minutes) or using the shuttle. Skiing back is possible depending on trail conditions. Overall it was functional but not a place I'd really choose to stay in again.
Arrival was a bit problematic because the address we were given is not the one that shows up in any GPS or mapping app. There is another address (the one posted in the condo for emergencies) that will take you there fine. No idea why that is not given. After driving around at night for an extra 20 minuted we arrived to find no outside lights working. This is not safe, as there are outside steps and walkways that need to be negotiated to get in. Plus, without lights, finding the right door took another 5 minutes. I took some bubs from lamps and used them replace the burnt out ones outside so my family could get in safely.
The bedrooms are fine, and each has its own thermostat, but overall the condo is a tad rundown. The most obvious issue was a leak in the roof in the den area. The kitchen is also functional if rather old. If you have small kids, please beware of the railings around the steps from the upper to lower levels which will not prevent a kid from plunging straight down because they are only at an adult's waist level.
After our first day skiing we came back and wanted to bathe only to find that there was no shampoo in the entire place. Had to then run out and drive to the closest store to buy some.
Overall, none of these are deal breakers, but it just doesn't add up to a great experience.
Dear Ari, thank you for your review. We appreciate your feeback and will be addressing all these issues while we continue to make improvements to the condo. Thank you for booking with us and for sharing your concerns.
Everything you need for a ski weekend!
The condo was the perfect size for our group of 6. The condo is straight out of the 70's but had everything we needed for the weekend- a good size foyer for boots and jackets to dry, a nice living room, updated bathrooms, and a great wood burning stove. We did misread the description and thought it was a ski in/ski out location. There is no direct access to ski out of the condo as you have to cross a street. You can ski back to the condo but make sure to take the Village Run trail. We took the wrong trail and ended up hiking up to get to the condo.
Danielle, thank you for your review. I am glad the condo fit your needs and apologize for the miscommunication regarding the ski in and ski out option. Very Sincerely, Kate
