You absolutely cannot beat the location! Literally a one minute walk to QuickSilver lift across the street at base of Peak 9 (Maggie Pond) and steps to Main Street, Historic Downtown Breckenridge! Far, Far better than ski in/ski out. You absolutely do not have to get into your vehicle once you arrive - walk to lift, restaurants, bars/Pubs, clubs, shops, etc.!

The complex has common/shared Hot-Tub Jacuzzi, Laundry Facilities, Free Heated Garage Parking. It is not only steps to all restaurants, shops, pubs, etc., but is also steps to the lift, which is right across the street, less than a minute walk!. There are also two equipment rental shops ground floor. They provide skis and board rentals in winter and bycicle rentals in summer. Great location. Nice unit. Huge outdoor space that will accommodate a large party. Great view overlooking the lake. I would definitely rent this unit again.

Close to town - well appointed

We stayed here in early April 2018. Love the indoor parking and free firewood. The condo is small but fine for two people and the deck is very nice and overlooks the creek and the back side of downtown shops. Very easy walk to everything. We enjoyed our stay!

The worst experience!!!

If I could give this experience a NEGATIVE 5 I would! When I got to Breck there was a problem so I called the owner. He answered the first time and told me to call the police for information on my situation. I did and then called him back just to get his voicemail. I sat in a parking lot for two hours waiting for him to call back and tried and left another message. Clearly he did not want to deal with me or help me with my problem. I left and rented a hotel for the night and continued to contact the owner via emails and calls. In the end I lost all my rental money and had to go home (22 hrs away) without completing my business in the area which cost me additional money. This owner only cared about getting his money and not taking care of his guests. BTW Der Steiermark is a very old property and the enclosed hallways smelled of mold/mildew and were "well used". I can not speak to this particular rental as I never got to stay there since my issue was left unresolved.

Owner's Response: I have all email correspondence. This guest stated she has a sprinter van and asked if garage door was 9' or greater. We have two in complex and one is higher and i told her i would check and let her know. I did check and it was not high enough. I told her there is outside parking where plenty of large vans, including sprinters park during day. I could possibly obtain special permission for her to park there for the week stay. I did in fact obtain permission for her. She arrived, called me and only then stated that she has an extended sprinter in length and width. I told her this is an RV and the town has RV parking on the edge of town. She said she did not want to park on edge of town. I told her no complex has RV parking, however, there is a public surface parking next to the complex, but given size she may have to pay for two spots. She said she did not want to park there. I’m taken aback now, as there is no difference than parking in our surface parking as it is pretty close to equal distance and surface parking was agreeable to her at outset. I advised her to call police department as they regulate/control parking to see if there was any other options for her. I am not sure why she would choose not mention the extended length and width of her van, nor why she would not chose to park on surface parking next door. Perhaps she had other reasons to leave that I am not aware of. As far as the complex, a small interior hall is a bit dated, however, maintained clean and current initiative underway to update. Entrance to our unit is in atrium area and can bypass the hall altogether.

Perfect location! Essential details overlooked.

-no parking pass. Had to leave a note on our dashboard with unit number.

-sleeper sofa was broke

Owner was responsive to our complaints but we are looking forward to a more enjoyable stay the next time in Breckinridge.

Owner's Response: Lindsay, sorry on the shortcomings. I had not seen the review prior on the kitchen drawers and the sofa sleeper. I just repaired the drawers and replaced sofa sleeper this weekend. I wish cleaners would let us know on the issues and unfortunately it's our guests that do. sorry I overlooked the previous and couldn't repair prior to your visit. all is fixed now and hope you consider us again in the future. thanks again!

Positives About the Condo:

Location, Location, Location - in the heart of the area. Easy walk to everything. And I never heard the restaurant/bar downstairs

Bedroom bed was very comfortable

Humidifier was a HUGE plus

Plenty of hot water - good water pressure

Plenty of very nice kitchen items (dishes, glasses, pans, etc.)

Water filtered thru fridge was a plus

Parking Garage - and it was indoors - very convenient

washer and dryer on premises

Great deck - and good sized

WiFi worked great

Areas that could use improvement:

Pull out bed in couch is broken, had to take mattress out and put on floor each night

Place has a moldy smell

Broken kitchen drawer

Called owner 1st day to notify that the parking pass was not where he indicated - I never received a returned call, but it was not an issue - probably because it was basically off season

All in all it worked out very well. The improvements would not deter me from recommending. We weren't there that often but when we were it worked well for our needs. 2 People.

Owner's Response: Chris, so sorry on the sofa sleeper. I had not seen your review until I saw this last. I just replaced the sofa sleeper with a new one. design is virtually identical and hopefully the sofa sleeper mechanism more durable. We also repaired cabinet drawers, refreshed interior paint after this last rental above. Comforters and pillows have been replaced as well. Glad you enjoyed location and the rest of unit and again apologize for the shortcomings. unfortunately on the sofa sleeper I missed your review and caught it on this last.

First time in Breckenridge.

First time skiing, but not the last. This location was so convenient to the lift, restaurants and shopping. Easy to get around town with the free bus. Once you park your car in the enclosed garage, you won't need it again. Everything you need is close, including a hot tub and beautiful views. Hope to go again.
