This newly renovated 2-BR loft is only steps away from the Eagle Bahn Gondola, the children’s ski school and Born-free Express lift.

Directly adjacent to new Arabelle Square, this location features numerous ski shops, equipment rentals, restaurants and coffee shops inside the building and within a few hundred yards of your front and back door. Owner has arranged a 20% discount on all your ski-rentals with ski shop 50 yards from entrance (ask for special code when booking)

The free Vail Village Shuttle stops directly adjacent to the building.

Access to both the mountain and to all of the town’s hot-spots couldn’t be any easier.

The contemporary but cozy apartment features high vaulted ceilings in the living room, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a wood burning fireplace, WIFI, free HD cable TV and a balcony with views onto the Arabelle square and partial views to the ski slopes, gondola and lift house.

There is absolutely no highway noise or sight (a huge problem in Vail when renting unseen).

About Jill Nelsen

The Loft in Vail is one of our favorite vacation homes, where we spend at least 5-6 weeks per year. It is beautifully furnished in a contemporary 'bohemian' style and does not look or feel like a typical rental apartment.

Why Jill Nelsen chose Vail

We choose this property because of it's prime location. There is almost no other place in Vail which is more convenient in terms of accessing the mountain and being close to ski-shops and restaurants and the children's ski school.

What makes this apartment unique

Everything can be reached by foot. You really do not need a car except when grocery shopping in one of the larger markets (which you could do by bus or taxi). Although the the apartment is only .02 miles from the highway, there is absolutely no freeway noise or sight due to the larger buildings behind our complex.

Unbeatable location!

Lovely condo, a refreshing break from the typical ski condo decor. Very comfortable, great beds and bedding. The kitchen was one of the best I've seen in a rental, it had all of the pots and pans you might need including a slow cooker. Lots of utensils, and lovely plates, glassware and cutlery, all matching, aesthetically pleasing and in good condition. The table, benches and chairs easily accommodate a large group for meals or games and there were plenty of pens, pencils and paper for keeping score. Lots of games too!

The condo is great but the best thing about it is undoubtedly the location. The walk to the gondola or chair is roughly 50 yards and if you rent your equipment from one of the nearby ski shops you don't even need to carry it up and down the stairs. They store it for you! Also, you are right there in the middle of Lionshead which is convenient to shops, restaurants, the skating rink, liquor stores and a small general store which was expensive but more importantly, very convenient for those things you just ran out of like milk and half and half.

We were 4 and the one full and one half baths worked just fine for us. The full bath has only a shower but it's nicely updated.The second bedroom has two queen beds and a single bunk above one queen. That made that room a bit tight but if you're all one family I'm sure it can work. The only thing I didn't like was the living room furniture. There is one large couch which can fit 3 adults comfortably. You can get a 4th in there but it feels tight. The couch is the only piece of living room furniture so it's 3 or 4 in that room. Anyone else needs to be at the table or at the bar in the kitchen. We would go back and rent this unit again so I guess that says it all from our point of view. Very nice place.

We are trying to achieve the best experience for our guests in all our properties (see: www.exoticdigs.com) and we are always open for suggestions for improvement. In regards to the sofa, we have spent a lot of time thinking about the best solution here. As you know, there is not really a lot of extra space to put an additional sofa. That's why we came up with the idea to use a comfortable bench at the dining room table. You can simply turn the bench around (with the backrest facing the table) and voila, you have a comfortable space for 6 or 7 people to sit around the fireplace or watch TV. Families with small children usually just use the bean bag style ottomans or sit on the carpet leaning against the sofa for additional seating. Beautiful loft close to Gondola

This loft was perfect for us, with two adults and two teenagers. The kids had a queen bed each and there was a spare single bed at the top of the bunk.

The kitchen is well equipped. We had everything we needed to cook. The loft is close to the Lionshead restaurants and the Vail village shuttle if you want to venture further.

Excellent location; well appointed flat

Flat has everything needed for relaxing apres ski, whipping up dinner and cleaning ski clothes for the next day's run. Space is precious and expensive in Lionshead in winter; the layout, furniture and coatrack/ bench placement makes this flat live larger than it is. Central location right above excellent coffee, across from Happy Hour at Bart and Yetis, steps from the bus and dedicated parking. Directions covered all our needs and questions. Keypad lock was especially appreciated by our group, who, because of 2 freak accidents, had several non - skiers who had to come and go quite often. 3rd floor walk up is really more like 2.5. - very doable even on crutches! Thank you!

Wonderful summer spot

My family (2 teenagers and 2 adults) stayed here for 4 nights in August. The unit could not have a better location! The unit also had EVERYTHING to make your stay wonderful. Full kitchen, tons of extra towels, amazing bedding, great cable tv options, etc. All we had to do was walk down the steps and we were seconds from the Gondola, shops, restaurants, etc. I would definitely recommend this unit to any friend or family.

Spring Break ski trip

My family and I stayed here over spring break. The condo is beautiful and well equipped. The location is terrific, it is right in the heart of Lionshead Village, easy walk to slopes, shops and restaurants.. The owner was terrific to work with, I would definitely rent this place again!

Pre-Christmas Ski trip

I am a single father of three (14, 11 and 6) and wanted to bring the kids back to Vail for a pre-XMas ski trip. We had been there for spring break this year and stayed at a nearby hotel that was very nice. This time we wanted to be even closer to the gondola and in a condo. This place was perfect. It is right in the heart of Lionshead Village, easy walk to slopes and shops and restaurants. The owners were very helpful and the place was great. If you're looking for a place to bring beginner skiers, Lionshead is great. Ski schools are awesome, do the Ultimate 4. By the end of day three my 6-year old was going top to bottom and loving it.
