House, 1 Bedroom, 1.0 Bathroom, (Sleeps 2)
Really well maintained home. Comfortable bed, updated kitchen and a good TV.
Clean, quiet, well located,l
Property was as advertised. Easy to get anywhere and on edge of up and coming restaurant and shopping area. Washer/dryer was a really nice option as I was there 5 days in bad weather. Was a very comfortable place to stay with nice neighbors.
Cute house, great location, needs some work
The transformation this house underwent is fantastic. The owner clearly put a lot of work into it. The location is wonderful, too.
Our key issues have to do with the important details:
There were blood stains on one of the pillowcases. No worries, we'll just change it out for another one. Catch is, there are no extra pillow cases.
For two of us, we wanted two pillows each. There were only three pillows on the bed. No worries, we'll find extra pillows. There were two in the closet....but no extra pillowcases.
The comforter had a few holes in it and smelled like it hadn't been washed. Well, at least there's a sheet on the bed, that'll protect us....nope, no sheet, just a mattress cover.
The kitchen was great. Went to cook a meal....looking for knives to chop and prep with. Only one knife, a pairing knife.
Garbage filled up, took the bag out....no extra garbage bags.
We Loved it!
My wife and I had a 2 night getaway and opted for this house over a downtown hotel. We made the right choice! We loved the house! We loved that we could walk to shops and restaurants- such a neat area. Very short car ride or Lyft to downtown as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the host did not send us the code. We sent a message and he responded in a few minutes and apologized more than once. Would definitely come back.
Paula's review scared me but, after my visit, I think she may have been reviewing the wrong property! Seriously. Not an ant in sight, even after a rain storm, and parking couldn't have been easier. This house far exceeded my expectations regarding cleanliness, charm, comfort, and location. Yummy food (Con Huevos), coffee (Please & Thank You), and ice cream (The Comfy Cow) were all in walking distance - we almost didn't leave this cute 'hood but when we finally did the attractions of Louisville (Muhammad Ali Center, Louisville Slugger Factory, Bulliet distillery) were super close. And David was the perfect host - he even gave us fabulous restaurant suggestions. Loved it!
VERY DISAPPOINTED, left a DAY EARLY
Parking nightmare, ants crawling everywhere(I live in Florida and know about bugs) had to CLEAN everything before and after our stay. Reported and wasn't pleased with response given, so WE LEFT A DAY EARLY. A/C unable to keep up, so didn't stay cool at all.
Crescent Hill is a local favorite for Louisville residents due to its incredible cuisine and boutique shopping. Locations don’t get much more walkable than this; it’d be easy to spend a week on Frankfort Avenue and never need to venture out beyond it! However, part of the appeal is the proximity to everything the city has the offer, all of which is within minutes via car.
