About Ed Rosko

I first visited Bisbee in 2000 from New York City. It is an immensely charming place. I visited often and in 2010 I answered its call moved to this part of Arizona.

Everyone has a story as to how they got here. Most are quite amazing. If you get a chance to strike up a conversation with one of the 'locals' ask 'em,--you may learn something and at least you will be very entertained!

Ed Rosko purchased this cottage in 2012

Why Ed Rosko chose Bisbee

This is an amazing property. Built by an artist, first, as her studio and with an addition of a sleeping loft in 2008, it became her home. The house has very unique spaces, an incredible view from the wall of windows that open to a small deck.

The area the home sits in is actually carved out of the stone and mountain that surround the house.

When I purchased the property I told the previous owner that in my eyes the home is a piece of art all by itself. She said. 'You get it..you understand this house!'

So, if you enjoy the beauty in architecture, nature and art (the house is full of it), you will enjoy your stay at the BLUE HOUSE!

What makes this cottage unique

Deck that overlooks the town. Close to everything, yet secluded too. New furnishings through out. Art, books, vintage vinyl and record player.

Screaming Banshee Pizza is also a local favorite and is ideal for brickoven pies and a late drink.

A special quality of light

  • 5 of 5

I loved this place so much two weeks ago that I’m staying there again this weekend! It had everything I needed & was very comfortable. And the early morning light streaming in the windows is very special.

Quaint little home on the hill

  • 5 of 5

Great location! Everything was perfect. The only thing the house was missing is citronella candles for the patio, so we bought some! We will definitely stay there again when in Bisbee!

Perfect little bungalow!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying here at the Blue House. The house is cozy, has everything we needed and more. The little deck out front was perfect for lounging, and the close proximity to many shops, restaurants and bars made outings a breeze!

The cozy Blue House

  • 4 of 5

The house is well-maintained, comfortable, just right for a get-away and visit to Bisbee. The location is terrific for walking and access to two of Bisbee's best places to eat. My only regret is that I didn't read the specifications closely enough: the house doesn't have wifi. I was planning on doing some work over the weekend. A local coffee shop does have wifi, but that was certainly less convenient.

As advertised, it was cozy & full of funky art.

  • 5 of 5

It was a girls weekend out. We happened to hit Bisbee on a couple of the coldest days they've had in a long time. We didn't care, as we were there to chill out & just relax. We turned the heat up & made use of the electric fireplace that warmed up the room sufficiently. Great location...close enough for shopping but far enough away to be a quiet & restful place. We enjoyed the High Desert Market for a light dinner that we took back to the cottage, along with cheeses, olives, fruit & other munches...to go along with our wine. We had dinner at Contessa's Cantina (right across the street) which was a perfect ending for the last night. Highly recommend them. Great atmosphere, with a real wood fire going & the food was superb. All in all, it couldn't have been nicer. Perfect getaway.
