This is a custom built mountain luxury home that is built off the grid, fully self-sustainable and beautifully maintained. This home was featured on the National solar home tour for several years due to its well designed and highly functional photovoltaic, wind and hot water solar systems. This has been run as a gentleman's ranch for the last 15 years by 2 veterinarians who have raised sheep, made sheep dairy products and enjoyed their horses in the national forest. The ranch is 55 miles from town (Fort Collins) and a place to be enjoyed in solitude. It is a fully equipped home with a gourmet kitchen, every small and large appliance you could want to create beautiful family meals. Bring your groceries and settle in for some down time! Bring your horses and ride the most amazing trails in the United States - secluded, uninhabited, hundreds of miles of open land, mountains, streams and wildlife! You can cross country ski, sled or snow shoe in the winter, hike and trail ride in the summer. Fly fishing (catch and release) is a dream come true here! Learn more about the house from a video that was featured on the National Solar Home Tour - search on Youtube for: Cherokee Park Haven for a great video of the property! There are 4 bedrooms in the main house and a separate bunk house with a queen size bed. The house has in-floor radiant heat that is powered by solar hot water which makes for cozy bathroom and bedroom floors! The bunk house should be used for those looking for an adventure, it is heated for winter use and feels like a secluded rustic cabin with all the trimmings. The property is 40 acres of fenced, secure land that has meadows, lodge pole pines, aspens, blue spruce, ponderosa pines and douglas fir trees. We have gorgeous mountain views and are completely secluded - you cannot see another house or cabin from the property.
