Beautiful property!

  • 5 of 5

This attractive home provided a home away from home for my family of 10 (three families) over the 4th of July week. The house is roomy and well appointed with a lovely deck that overlooks the property. It is well located for the activities that we did...zip lining, white water rafting, visiting relatives in Lakeside and Columbia Falls. The house was clean and in great condition with three floors, so each family had their own space. We regularly saw hummingbirds, deer, and wild turkeys during our stay. In addition, the owner is very easy to work with. I highly recommend this property.

Very good

Group of 6 adults.

House was perfect to explore Glacier Park over several days.(30 minute drive to park entrance ).

Nice quiet area. Abundant wildlife

around home . Although home was a delight and well appointed , we spent a lot of time on the deck.

The tranquility and calmness of

large deck was paradise.A most delightful Home. A few minor plumbing issues . Hot water in showers a bit tricky . (one shower at a time , dishwasher a bit tired)

Not really a problem.

Charming Gem

  • 5 of 5

The house was well located with regards to Kalispell, Airport, Whitefish, and of course the Glacier National Park. Grocery is convenient, which makes enjoying the house that much more easier. We loved the privacy that this house provides. The house itself was very well maintained and decorated. It is charming and full of story. It is large with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The deck was amazing, and we certainly enjoyed it thoroughly when we decided to take a break from hiking in the GNP. The house was well stocked with cooking needs (grocery excluded, of course), things a family would need for a week's stay. The pack and play, toddler bath tub, and the high chair certain made our packing for the trip much easier. The gate for the lower stairs makes it safe for our 15mo to roam around the floor. We had originally planned to have 6 adults and 3 toddlers for this trip, but only ended up having 4 adults and 1 toddler, so the house is plenty big for us. One advise: do plan the shower times appropriately especially if you have a big family. This house uses tankless water heater so you won't run out of hot water, but you do need to take shower one at a time (and don't run the washer and dishwasher during that time). We had no problem with this at all, and it is well written in the instruction folder.

We love the deer and wild turkeys that visit the proper everyday (mornings and evenings). It proved to be a fun activity for both the old and the young in our party :).

Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our stay here, and will not hesitate to stay there again if we want to visit GNP again. Big thank you the Laura for answering all our questions patiently and promptly. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable.

Renter Beware

  • 1 of 5

Our family of 6 adults, 3 four year olds and a toddler rented the house while we were in town for a family wedding. The house was great and we enjoyed our stay.We had a few minor issues that were relayed to Laura during our stay that included, couldn't turn the water off in the laundry room sink, had to turn off the main valve under the sink. Front doorknob was very loose and eventually fell off, the screws were stripped. The top shelf of the dishwasher was tricky to get in and out. We have been renting vacation homes for thirty years and have never had any issues with the owners or property managers. We pride ourselves on how we leave the rental homes and property. We take pictures throughout the inside and outside of each rental just in case any false reports are given. However, 3 months after our stay was completed my security deposited was cashed. The contract stated the check would be shredded after 20 days, if there was no damage or excessive noise. We were never contacted about any issues. After numerous attempts to reach Laura to receive an explanation we were never given any explicit reasons. We did learn that the cleaning company gave an erroneous account of the state the house was left in, and the damages occurred were excessive. We would urge any future occupants to please be alert to the contract and make certain that no false accusations are made against you after your stay.

Owner's Response: Wow. Who know what happen all I know we had a rent coming in that day so the front door had to be fixed that day. The renter told me, His wife and him stayed at his son home that night to take care of kids. So that the Son and daughter in Law could stay at our home the last night before they check out. He called me that morning told me about the door and the other items. I told him I would have the house cleaner and my friend that is in the area to look over home the home for me. She rents VBRO home also. We were out of town which the renter knew we was. The Following were found by cleaners and the VBRO Manger of other properties 1. Front Door was busted down 2. New Dishwasher top rack was busted off. Busted Laundry handle on sink. 3. Busted fireplace stone on setting area.4. Hall Closet Door was also busted. 5. Key was busted up in lock also. House was very bad condition. I requested picture which to this day never received. He was notify of all damage also told him I was not at home and would deposit his check when was back home for damages. Which was over 600.00 I deposit a check for $300.00 ! Wow is all I have to say. So the cleaner and another VRBO Manager saw something totally different. If he took picture Still need to see them? Thanks Laura

Wonderful Trip

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect base for exploring Glacier and Whitefish. There was wildlife in the yard every morning.

The large living room and deck allowed us to be together and enjoy each other's company. While there were plenty of space for alone time. The kitchen was up to date with everything necessary to prepare meals.

We loved our stay of seven adults.
