CASA PERALTA is a spacious 4 bedroomed villa with sea views and a bright and airy open plan design leading to a large pool and terrace at the rear of the house - perfect for sunbathing or al-fresco dining on beautiful warm evenings. There is also a large roof terrace giving panoramic costal views which is best enjoyed in the evening with a glass of wine in hand! With 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (3 en suite), this house is very well equipped for larger guest parties and ensures a comfortable stay. All rooms including living areas and bedrooms have air conditioning included in the rental price. I have had 2 weeks in this lovely villa which I loved. The pool especially. I loved the bedroom. We left 2 bats and a ball for you. Jasmine, Aged 10
My family of 9 had a lovely week staying at Casa Peralta .The house is beautiful well decorated with a superb swimming pool which was well used by us all ! Tavira is a beautiful town and the people are so friendly especially the taxi drivers.The discription says car not required but crossing the motorway is not advisable so a car would be a good idea .Taxis however were cheap at €5 and used frequently .The only downside of this holiday was it was too short !
the house is excellent and fully equiped with everything you'll ever need.. the only problem I see is the location being a little far from the beach... (I didnt like Tavira island..)
Gepflegte Villa in ruhiger Wohngegend. Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und stilvoll eingerichtet. Insbesondere die Küche war ein Vergnügen. Wir hatten mit zwei Familien viel Spaß und Platz. Schöne Spaziergänge durch die Obstplantagen in der Nachbarschaft möglich. Bei Fragen war die Hausverwaltung schnell zu erreichen und hilfreich. Das Haus ist verkehrstechnisch gut gelegen, PKW ist empfehlenswert.
Quinta do Perogil is a peaceful residential area situated on the outskirts of Tavira, around 10 minutes walk into the main town. Alternatively, the short taxi ride will cost around 5 Euros.
Tavira, once known as the capital of the Algarve stands proud amongst Portuguese history books and you will not fail to be enthralled by it's unspoilt charm, character and tranquillity. As you wander along the cobbled streets, you'll see an abundance of history. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants, there are many churches (37 in total!) to view, along with the town castle, several monuments and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park. There is a wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce and a wide selection of fish. During the high season, horse drawn carriages and a small train operate around the town and are perfect for seeing all the sights and experiencing the peaceful ambience.
LOCAL BEACH - TAVIRA ISLAND: The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the Island of Tavira is no exception. As a natural island separated from the mainland by the River Formosa, it is reached by catching a ferry from a designated point in the harbour. A excellent range of facilities is offered including beach bars, fish restaurants, Portuguese cuisine, pizza restaurant to name but a few. Also for hire are sunbeds and shades and together, these ingredients give a wonderful tropical holiday atmosphere amongst white sandy beaches and the rolling Atlantic Ocean akin to the Caribbean! There are a number of other beautiful beaches that we can also recommend such as Barill, Manta Rota and Praia Verde.
OTHER THINGS TO SEE & DO: Tavira itself is primary a town for sight-seeing, dining and relaxing, however, by travelling a little further afield there are a good range of things to do to suit all tastes. For nature lovers there are forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or nature trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance! By travelling towards the West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro and Ghia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine (wonderful for children), all easily reached by car (around 45 minutes) or by day trip coach. From this property it is easy to take a day trip to Spain. The Spanish border town of Ayamonte is approx 25kms by car, where the delights of another country can be sampled along with wine, Tapas and shopping. Ayamonte can also be reached by ferry from Vila Real. The vibrant city of Seville is about 170km away. As well as Tavira budding historians may enjoy Castro Marim castle.
GOLF: This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 6 courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and have fantastic scenery and sea views. The prestigious new Monte Rei course designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury. Although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Travelling East to just before the Spanish Border, the challenging courses of Castro Marim and the Ballesteros Signature Course Quinta do Vale both come highly recommended. We can offer discounted rates and can organise a full golfing package with play at a selection of these courses, car hire and rental of this property. (Flights not included)
