This home is conveniently located in picturesque Garfield County and is just 35 minutes from Bryce Canyon and 50 minutes from Zion National Park. There are beautiful pink cliffs that serve as the dynamic backdrop for this home. Just minutes away there is stream fishing on the Sevier River and on the Mammoth and Asay Creeks. Located nearby is the famous Panguitch Lake that is known for its great lake trout and stunning scenery. This home is the ideal location for family reunions and has the option of camping on the beautiful lawn that overlooks two gorgeous ponds. The home has full hookups for an RV and plenty of space to roam while seeing various forms of wildlife such as deer, elk, turkeys and more. The best part about this home is that it is relaxing and quiet. Come create some wonderful memories and have an experience you will never forget.
My wife and I and five girls really have enjoyed this home as it was a place that I grew up on and our girls have had the same opportunity to do so as well. They are outdoor enthusiasts and love spending time there. We currently live in Lindon Utah and try to get down to there as often as occasion will permit. We decided that since we can't be down there more often that we would open this home for others to enjoy and hope that your experience is one that you will never forget.
Bill Riggs purchased this house in 2008
This is a family home that my father built but unfortunately lost his battle to cancer before he was able to really enjoy it. Our family grew up on the land that this home sits on where formally there was an old deer hunters cabin that we built once stood. There have been many fond memories growing up here and we really enjoy how relaxing it is to come and stay and at the same time there are plenty of things to do. There is Hunting, fishing, ATV riding, hiking and seeing the sights such as Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks.
There is the national parks to visit, ATV trails to ride fishing down at the river and all kinds of wildlife to enjoy such as deer, elk and turkeys. It is away from the hustle and very peaceful and relaxing. The views are amazing including the pink cliffs to the east.
Thank you for having us enjoy your vacation home. We also want to thank you for the clear video of how to get here. It was very helpful.
All of our family enjoyed walking & strolling around on your property. It was a very peaceful & enjoyable experience. We look forward to visiting again.
From our family to yours
There were just two of us, so the house seemed enormous, definitely good for large groups. We spent a lot of time out on the large deck, and watched the cows come up to the fence to check us out (but do be careful, the chair legs can slip between the deck planks). A big reason we chose a remote location was for star gazing. Unfortunately, we had a full moon, which was really bright - probably should have checked a calendar. The road was bumpy to us in an economy-size rental, which got knocked around a bit. But don't be intimated by the route. We planned to arrive in daylight and played the video during the drive the first time in; after that it was fine.
Road was 1.9miles from main road & the road on the property very rough & our car was dragging on the rocks in the center. Didn't look at the video the owner sent before we went - if I had would have looked for another place. Amenities as described. There was a coffee maker but only 4 cups. TV as stated but no cable or WiFi. The beds in the Master & 4th bedroom the best. No ice maker but owner did have bags of ice. Some utensils still greasy. This was a family vacation of older adults & we didn't have an off-road vehicle.
Given the difficult access and amenities not worth the price for us.
Owner very responsive and gave us directions to the home. And when I called later when electricity was out - only out for a short time & his uncle came over to check on us.
We visited Zion, Bryce Cannon, Cedar Breaks, Grand Excalante, Red Canyon from this location. Only services in town were a couple eating places. Gas, grocery, drug store, liquor, etc. in Panguitch 14 miles away.
My husband and daughter really enjoyed our stay at the aptly-named Panoramic Cliffs Retreat. It was clean and very comfortable with all the amenities of home. Yes, the road to the house is gravel, but we had no problem at all with it, and the reward for the 5 minute drive is gorgeous seclusion. We would definitely stay there again!
Very nice home with all the amenities, soaking tub is fabulous after a day of hiking or driving, video of drive into the property a must have, home is very private about a mile off the road.
This house was very spacious, we had more than enough room for our family of 5. The location is very rural, so with that comes some of the issues of being that far in the country (aka bugs etc), but the house was well maintained and the host was very kind. He was happy to give us suggestions of places to eat and visit, and was responsive to our questions and needs. The location is beautiful, an easy drive to Bryce Canyon, and the little pond nearby was my kids favorite thing. Who knew you could skip rocks for hours on end?
This home is located between two national parks, Bryce Canyon which is only 35 minutes away and Zions which is 50 minutes away. There is also Cedar Breaks and Brian Head ski resort. There places to go fishing such as the Sevier river which is just below our property and Panguitch Lake to name a few. This is a great place for relaxation while you travel and a great place to hold your next family reunion.
