Vladimir Babich purchased this house in 2013
We stayed at this property Christmas 2012 and enjoyed the location and the quality of the home. We purchased it when we saw it was for sale.
This 3 BR, 2 BA home is located right on the lake with easy acess for fishing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, etc. Discovery Basin Ski Resort is only 8 miles away! It is right of of the main road for easy access all year long.
Wonderful New Year's Eve weekend spent skiing and staying at the Lazy Bear Cabin! The house is very well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The area is absolutely gorgeous and the views over the lake to Discovery Ski area are unrivalled.
We like to stay in VRBOs in the area for ski weekends every winter, and this one of the best!
We were in the area for a family reunion and being former residents wanted to stay at Georgetown lake. Our stay was highlighted by moose and a bald eagle for us all to enjoy. The house was perfect for our stay. The owner was very helpful to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The view from the deck was phenomenal, my grandson was in awe. We found the location was great to meet family and ride off on ATV's for further adventurers. Thanks to Vlad and Renee, we will be back to visit.
I can't give enough praise for the accommodations we enjoyed for 4 nights on Georgetown Lake! The owner was so friendly and responsive to all our needs. This is a beautiful home with gorgeous lake views and included everything we needed for our family vacation. Roomy bedrooms with comfortable beds, a cozy family room with flat screen TV and movie library and the deck overlooking the lake were enjoyed by us all. My husband would have been content to spend his entire stay relaxing on the deck and watching the eagles feed. The kitchen had every imaginable pot, pan, bowl, dish and utensil you might want, so forget about over-packing. All you need is your suitcase and groceries. We had a couple of storms come into the area, but were able to keep the kids busy with board games that are provided. They really did think of EVERYTHING! Thanks for the stay, Vlad and Renee!
With family from LA and Pittsburgh, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home on Georgetown Lake. The house has everything one could ever want or need and was so comfortable and inviting. (For the record, the kids counted 114 bears inside--if you include the ones printed on the bedspread :-)) The fishing was exceptionally good and Grandpa finally has converted a grandson into an avid fisherman. We had s'mores around the fire pit and enjoyed just sitting on the front deck and watching the eagles and the beautiful scenery. Vlad was very attentive and constantly checked to see if everything was okay. We spent two delightful weeks and thank Vlad and Renee so much for sharing their home with us.
Our family spent 3 nights at Lazy Bear. We loved the clean house and amenities. The house fit us 4 adults and 2 small children comfortably. We rented a boat from the marina and parked it at the dock. We had the best luck fishing right in front of the cabin. We spent much of our time outside on the deck and around the fire pit. This cabin has a beautiful view of the lake and the eagles diving for fish. We will be back this was a great place to relax.
A group of 6 of us spent a week at the Lazy Bear cabin in July/August and really enjoyed it! The house is lovely, spacious and well appointed. The three bedrooms were large (particularly the master bedroom/bath), and two of the rooms featured comfortable sleep number beds. The kitchen was a great size for our group & offered everything we could possibly need. The fridge had a number of condiments, and there were all sorts of spices in the lazy susan. The view from the kitchen was lovely too! The sauna was nice to have after a long day or cool evening.
There are a good number of tv channels/movies available if you encounter bad weather and want to stay inside. There were also a bunch of board games & books available for guest use.
There are great views from the covered deck. We enjoyed having a drink out there, or just relaxing & reading a book and chatting. Watching the many hummingbirds was one of our daily highlights. The BBQ on the deck got some good use as well.
The garage is very large, and the boathouse was handy for storing your gear too. The dock was great, and we spent many hours out there fishing & visiting. We didn’t catch many fish, though I think that was more to do with skill than anything…
Vlad & Renee were very helpful & friendly. Even though Vlad was overseas, he made sure we had everything we needed.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone and we would definitely return!
