Why Elizabeth Clemens chose New Mexico

Our Santa Fe-based family purchased the property and built the home in the early 1990's as weekend getaway and gathering place for extended family and family friends. It's been a perfect place for adults to relax and kids to enjoy being outside. Our family has gotten years of enjoyment out of the home and surrounding area and we hope that your family enjoys it just as much as ours has.

Perfect fit!

  • 5 of 5

Elk Meadows provided a perfect fit for our mini vacation with two of our grandchildren, ages 6 and 9. From the enticing children's room to the never ending opportunities on the little lake and property, we really had no reason or desire to leave! Rarely are we ever not eager to go home no matter where in the world we have traveled. This was not the case at Elk Meadows. Our only regret was that we had not booked more days in paradise!

Better than ever!

  • 5 of 5

This was our fourth summer visit to Elk Meadows, the highlight of the summer for our grandchildren and us. Everyone had great fun in the pond. We were again rewarded by sightings of wild geese and deer, and the hummingbirds were going crazy. We were impressed with the upgrades since last year. Thanks again, Elizabeth!

Can't say enough good things about this place!

  • 5 of 5

If the peace and comfort of the house aren't enough to bring you back, then the herd of 35+ elk grazing in the meadow will! This is a one of a kind property! Add in the hummingbirds, red winged black birds and white tail deer and you have a nature lover's dream.

Perfect country respite

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here when riding the Cumbres-Toltec train and Pagosa Springs. Great house - nicely decorated and comfortable. Had enough linens, towels, etc for a family of 7 and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. Kids had a great time on the water.

Great place in unique location

  • 5 of 5

Well designed place with all the amenities off the beaten path. We loved drinking wine on the dock in the evening and looking for wildlife. The stars out at night were amazing to see for city folk such as us. Enjoyed the pond and mounting biking in the neighborhood. Hope to come back.
