4 Bedrooms, Two Bathrooms, Newly Renovated, Family Friendly

Our beautiful holiday home is in the stunning and quintessentially English riverside town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire. The house is newly decorated and furnished with modern, tasteful furniture.

The property has three floors and has three double bedrooms and a bunk room for those with children. Fantastic open plan entertaining space which comprises of the dining room, kitchen and glass doors which fold back to the outside space. Well equipped kitchen, as we love cooking!

This is a home away from home. It's very much a holiday home, with neutral modern tasteful decor and with no Owner clutter that you might find in other houses. Our home will be very much your home!

Location, Location, Location! We are two minutes walk away from Marlow High Street, which is full of high end shops and restaurants (there are also Michelin starred restaurants in the area). Our favorite traditional pub is a short 2 min walk away. We are also perfectly positioned for riverside walks, as the park and river is a few minutes down the road. We are in close proximity to the local station (5 min walk) and there are regular trains into London (50mins) or a 40 min drive. We are a 20 min drive away from Windsor Castle and 45 mins from Oxford.

About Heather

We are a family who now live in Bermuda, but originally lived in Marlow. We met in the High Street when we were 16 and we have been together for 22 years and now have two children. We wanted to buy a place for us to return to when we visit the UK, as we are fed up in staying in hotels - or "chinzy" vacation rentals. We really love Marlow - especially the park, and the river it is such a beautiful town and we wanted our children to grow up with a connection to it.

Modern comfort - home away from home in the UK. Perfect for little kids

We rarely return to rental properties- but this is now the third time we have stayed at Heather's home. I think the keys to why its perfect for us are a) this was their home so its the quality level that you would want for your primary residence b) it is up to date/modern with good water pressure, hot water, washer/dryer, microwave, etc. all that you need and more c) it is comfortable and stylish without being tragically so d) its right next to town and the train station and the playground e) they have kid/toddler items. The only thing to caution people about is that the stairs are quite steep and there is no loo on the ground floor- so its not for people with limited mobility.

Our family of 4 stayed in this perfect home just steps from the high street in Marlow over our Christmas vacation. It truly is a home away from home. We LOVED the unique restaurants and coffee shops just 1/2 block from our front door. This little village and home was perfectly suited for our family!

An excellent celebration in a great town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Marlow. No. 18 Station Road is a perfect base for shops, restaurants and The River Thames. The house is very tastefully furnished and well equipped. The grandchildren were excited to sleep in bunk beds for the first time and enjoyed the games and books provided.

The parking could have been an issue but we had friends around the corner where we were all able to leave our cars.

We much preferred staying in this lovely cottage than a hotel. It gave us the flexibility to have friends and family join us and all go out to celebrate my 70th birthday in the many good restaurants just around the corner.

Marlow is a perfect location any time of year.

We would love to return. Thank you Heather.

Well-equipped home exceptionally located around the corner from the high street. Marlow itself is a lovely little town with great restaurants and shops. It is a little out of the way without a car, but not an issue once you figure out the Marlow rail station schedule. Great property owners and manager. Highly recommend this property.

Charming Home on the Thames

Organizing a Family Reunion trip from Texas to England for a group of 5 adults and three children (one a baby) and locating a place large enough to sleep everyone and host local family family members for visits was challenging, but 18 Station Road handled us well! And in short walking distance to the Marlow High Street for a fine collection of Restaurants and Cafes for dining (Burgers bakery on the end of Station Road at the High Street, a family favorite for amazing pastries, pies, and Breakfasts), we were never wanting for food. The Train Station to London (Paddington) is on the other end of the street. A few minutes on foot.

The Home includes a modern Kitchen with Porch Doors that fold open to a small enclosed Patio for Alfresco Dining and visiting in mild weather.

As Texans we missed the Air Conditioning during a heat wave that occurred during our stay, but with windows and porch doors open were comfortable. As senior family members my wife and I made the Loft Bedroom our cozy retreat from the rest of the family on the 2nd floor. We slept well with Skylight Windows here open to allow a breeze.

Marlow is a delightful town accessible to several historic homes and sites outside London, We made a day-trip to Stonehenge. Parking for a rent car is a challenge, it is for the locals too! There is a municipal parking lot on the next block over from this Home with free overnight spaces. But with Rail and Bus transportation all accessible you might not need the rental car?

We enjoyed our stay in this fine home and would book it again.

The Propety is 4 minutes away from lovely river walks along the River Thames and the fantastic Higginson Park. To be honest there is plenty to do in Marlow and the surrounding area. For those wanting to sightseeing and travel further afield - Windsor castle is a short 20 minute drive away. The house is close to the local station - trains into London take around 45 minutes. We are also a 40 minute drive away from the historic city of Oxford.
