'A wonderful long weekend at Gorse Hill Cottage. Perfect position; overlooking the beach and town, with marvellous views out to sea. Enjoyable coastal walks start at the end of the garden. We found the cottage to be clean, and well presented, complete with a much appreciated welcome. Recommended!

Relaxing stay in a lovely cottage

  • 4 of 5

Thank you so much for the 'welcome pack' of bread, milk and bottle of wine, which was much appreciated after a rain-soaked journey! The cottage is exactly as described on the website and we thought it was in one of the best locations in Pendine. There are beautiful views of the beach, and it was lovely to be able to walk down to the beach and village through the garden. The cottage was an excellent base to explore the local area. We can recommend the Indian takeaway in the village.

Perfect location and a comfortable, homely cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Gorse Hill Cottage and once again we had a great week. The views are magnificent, and the proximity to the beach is fantastic. Just go down through the garden and a few steps later you can be on the sand. The cottage feels very welcoming and homely, and we found everything we needed. A good supply of books for adults and children, well equipped kitchen and everything was clean and tidy.

We can recommend visits to Colby Woodland Gardens and Tenby (we had a successful seal spotting boat trip with "Tenby Boat Trips").

Ideal spot and fantastic view

  • 5 of 5

Gorse hill is an ideal spot for totally relaxed vacations - everything is as shown on the photos. The house is very spacious, comfortable, calm, clean and really well equipped.

We found every thing that was promised - plus a welcome bottle of fine wine, milk and bread - Thank you! An Information folder delivered every Information we needed (incl. a timetable for the tide and one for the bus) - so we felt at home from the first moment. The highlight is the superb view - we admired it in the early morning, during the day or in the evening... The region is ideal for walking as there are numerous very interesting (though sometimes strenuous) sections of the Pembrokeshire coastal path within one hours drive or even by bus - and one directly starting at the garden door.. We enjoyed our stay every day!

Even better second time around

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Gorse Hill and we enjoyed it even more than last year. The exterior has been painted and is the most outstanding "house on the hill" when viewed from sea level in Pendine. it is well maintained and clean throughout. The accommodation is excellent for a family of four with all the facilities you could want for a family holiday. The locals are exceptionally friendly and helpful. an excellent base for visiting the attractions of west Wales or just relaxing and enjoying the fantastic views.
