About Lucille Khornak
I live in NYC and enjoy relaxing on the water. It is a break from my busy schedule. I feel like I am in a time warp when I am there.
Lucille Khornak purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why Lucille Khornak chose Town of Yates
I love being on the water. This area is where my family gets together. It is fun to have a barbecue and relax and watch the evening sunset.
What makes this Cottage unique
Deck, the incredible sunsets, being able to build a bonfire in the evening right on the water

Not the best access to water but cabin was very nice .
Great View and Very relaxing stay at Lake Ontario.
My family enjoyed our stay. Cottage is located in wonderful area. Very comfortable, very well maintained. The view of the lake was beautiful especially in the early morning and it is quiet.Overall our stay was great. Cottage is bit old and with one rest room and it should be fine for small group. It was super clean and the beds were very comfortable.owners were friendly,
This is a clean and well maintained lake property! It is very roomy and has spectacular lake views! We will be staying here again.. thank you Lucille!
When we arrived, the screen on the screen door was ripped out in the corner and the actual door had to be kicked to be opened (or shut). The window screens were covered with dead bugs. The house stank of mold and mildew, which was found on the windows when they were opened. Under the sink in the kitchen, pots and pans were thrown willy-nilly and the moldy smell was strong. It was unusually hot when we were there, so we were not happy discovering the bedroom windows were tiny and barely opened: no cross ventilation. There was barely any water pressure in the shower and the water temperature could not be adjusted; we took cold showers. The worst part was being awakened in the night by the stench of the nearby cattle/manure farm. We had to shut all the windows and suffered in the heat. The nearest gas station is about 8 miles away and a grocery store is a 1/2 hour drive. I would not recommend this rental until the water, mold and odor issues are resolved.
I am sorry that Nancy did not have the great experience the other renters have. This cottage has so many windows - the living area alone has 8 windows and two them are 3/4 large from floor to ceiling. It also has a windowed terrace door. Twice a year the farms use a spray for a day - that is out of our control. As you are on the water in the country, there can be some flies. The water pressure is always good when we are staying in the cottage. Sounds like a cottage on the lake is not for Nancy. We love it there and so do our guests. The kitchen has just been renovated and the bathroom has new flooring and a new vanity.
