This classy and luxury villa for rent is located in Sabina, alto Lazio (Italy). 40 km north of Rome, close to the villages of Montopoli and Poggio Mirteto, the property stands on a mild hill overlooking the beautiful countryside.
It is a traditional farmhouse, renewed with taste and mastery by the well known italian architect Fabrizia Frezza. The interiors are simply outstanding, and the garden marvelous. The panoramic swimming pool is surrounded by 3 hectares of land, with olive and fruit trees.
Elegant and fully equipped, this villa for rent has been published on many reviews.
Villa Moronte features super luxury interiors. Traditional arched ceilings made of bricks meet with a stylish wooden floor. On the ground floor, the living room is wide and bright. Elegant black sofas are placed around a low wooden table, enriched by two fascinating candlesticks. A big traditional fireplace is faced by a white sofa, ideal for a glass of italian wine watching the fire. A french window leads to the garden surrounding the villa.
Near the living room, there is the charming dining room .This room – decorated with a vintage wall clock, a beautiful ceiling fan and white cupboards – has a french touch. The table with chairs can seat up to 10/12 people. Eating here is ravishing. Close to the dining room, there is the fully equipped kitchen, where you will find everything you need to organize wonderful meals and one bathroom.
On the first floor there is the master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom and private panoramic balcony. Next to it, there is a double room . On the second floor there are two double bedrooms with one bathroom and one bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
Wi-fi internet access, air conditioning, central heating. Daily maid service on request.
Villa Moronte exteriors are really charming. The villa is surrounded by an arcade, furnished with a round glass dining table with chairs, a low table with outdoor sofas, a hammock and other seats. The garden around is beautiful, with olive, fruit and magnolia trees. The private panoramic swimming pool is outstanding; it overlooks the countryside and is characterized by bright colors. Having a swim or sunbathing here is a different way to experience sabina.
The garden of the property is big, and it hides some beautiful secrets – as the woodshed covered with red roses, or the games for kids, the ping pong table and the wood stove. The villa also features kitchen garden and hen-house.
I'm an Italian architect who projects residential and public spaces.
My passion are luxury hotels which I love to visit and as an architect I'm lucky to be able to project.
I grew up in the family hotels that have led me to better understand both the needs of the customer for the services offered and the best design of the spaces. For me, the Customer of whatever nationality must be able to feel at 'home' in all of my projects.
This property has an amazing view and atmosphere which capture your soul and makes you feel in paradise.
The view all around especially from the swimming pool.
The 3 hectars of land full of olive trees which produce a D.O.P. oil.
We stayed in the villa at the end of August. Two families of 4, the villa provided a fantastic space for all us. Each day was spent in the lovely pool which gives a beautiful view over the rolling hills and countryside.
Fantastic facilities, along with the hammocks and table tennis provided hours of fun. There's plenty of shaded areas to escape the midday heat (needed by 8 pasty white Brits!).
Sara, Giovanna and Grandfather were lovely and helpful. We had a pizza chef one night to celebrate a birthday and we had to ask him to stop cooking as we were stuffed!!
A wonderful relaxing holiday, only left the villa twice (other than number visits to the local Lidl-type supermarket) to visit Hadrians Villa (amazing) and a day trip to Rome to the Colosseum (so easy - 9euros return on the train which took under an hour).
Our whole family agree we have had a fantastic time and the Villa was perfect. The photographs no not do it justice!
The Villa was clean and well maintained and the outside facilities were superb. Even in the midday heat we could find our perfect shade or keep cool in the beautiful pool. With a 1 year old baby sitting in the corner paddle pool in the shade of fig tree that never stopped providing beautiful succulent figs, it was heaven.
We were looked after so well by Giovanna, Sara and Grandfather and we highly recommend having an evening meal prepared by Giovanna and Sara . You should starve for 24hrs prior to the meal as the food just kept on coming :-). All beautifully prepared dishes with local produce and the children loved helping making pasta the Italian way.
We hardly spent any time away from the Villa because we enjoyed the space and facilities so much.
We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to chill out in a beautiful rural place.
The house was wonderful and the garden was beatiful with all its plants, trees, grass fields and outdoor sitting areas. The swimming pool with the mountain view just made it all perfect! We really enjoyed our staying in the villa and can highly recommend it for big families. The bedrooms were nice, airconditioned and clean. Our kids (7) really enjoyed the garden, cats and kittens and the swimming pool of cause. The only disturbing thing in the pool was the coating (cement plaster). It hurt our kids feet and you needed to learn to be carefull in the pool (or use socks).
The view was extraordinary beatiful and the distance from Rome was good by car or by train. The local restaurant nearby (next to the food store) was excellent! The fish menu served on weekends really surpised us with all its variety.
The recycling system in the house (or is it in Italy altogether?) was quite confusing for us and the more precise instructions would be good to provide for the guests. The family taking care of the property and the garden (and the daughter Sara especially) was very helpful and friendly.
We used the laundry and the dish washer often and those worded perfectly. WLAN worked well and kitchen was big enought for 12 people. As the weather was great we maingly ate outside in the terrace. Very south europian and relaxing!
My family recently rented the villa in June 2015. The location is superb with wonderful views and outside entertainment areas. All of the kids loved the pool and waterfall.
Unfortunately the house needs a little work. Most important is the need for screens on some of the doors and windows. Many screens are torn or just entirely missing. Mosquitos were constantly in the house because of this. It is not a pretty sight to see a young child full of mosquito bites.
One of the upstairs bathrooms has a shower with no shower curtain or door. It was impossible to shower without getting a good part of that bathroom soaking wet.
Ants seemed to be a problem in the kitchen and dining room. We came back to the villa one afternoon to find ants all over the large dining table. The garbage area is kept right outside the kitchen and perhaps it could be moved across the driveway.
Irregardless of these issues we all had a wonderful time. The villa has great upside potential, but some deferred maintenance is due.
We had an excellent experience staying with 5 adults and 4 children ranging from 9-14 yrs. The house itself can accomodate more people. The house is well kept, and the garden and pool excellently maintained. It is nice to see the manager working to keep the area in good shape.
The people in the area are friendly and helpful to point you in the firection of nice places to visit.
In the close area we found nice villages to visit and it is also easy to go by train to Rome.
I would recommend to bring a car for your stay.
We had a wonderful holiday in this charming country villa. Our group was made up of two large families with children. The house was fully equipped, with a stunning view and amazing vanishing edge pool just in front of the house. The inside was very clean and well maintained, comfy and beautifully furnished with all kinds of comforts. The house is surrounded by 3 hectars of land with plenty of olive and magnolia trees. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the countryside while the children had lots of fun. We had a cooking and cleaning lady on request and a Pizza chef made us pizza in our last dinner. I highly recommend Villa Moronte, we had such an amazing time and hope to return.
