Perfect in-town Location
This house had everything to make our reunion vacation a success! It is reasonable walking distance to all the historical attractions, restaurants, coffee shops and breweries that Portsmouth has to offer. It is nicely decorated and all 4 beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is bustling- as is the whole town but is quiet at night. Whole house is set up with up to date heating system- important in Portsmouth. We had a great time and would stay again.
Great place for a small group!
We were very impressed by the house, accommodations and cleanliness of the property! The owner was very nice and communicative throughout the process. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the Portsmouth area.
A Home away from Home!
We had a wonderful time at this rental property over Columbus Day Weekend, wanting to be near Dover where our daughter is living. There were 4 of us sleeping at the house, but 6 of us hanging out some of the time. This property was like a home away from home. The beds were great with quality comforter sets, showers nice and hot, comfortable furniture and a bonus treat for my husband was that the TV’s had his favorite soccer channel. There were fans in all the rooms if needed and the thermostat was accessible for us to set at the temperature we chose on the cool evenings. The owner was always quick to respond to questions and helpful with restaurant recommendations, both before we arrived and during our stay. There’s a convenient Italian restaurant, The Bread Box, right nearby for an easy meal at home. It’s only a 10 minute walk to get downtown. We will definitely stay here if visiting the area again.
Awesome stay in a comfortable, clean, modern, traditional home.
We were in the Portsmouth area for the wedding of our son. We wanted something near downtown to be close to the various event venues. We were a group of 7 adults. The property was very clean and comfortable with room for all of us. It is remodeled with modern finishes in a traditional style New England townhouse. Beds were comfortable especially in the HUGE master suite on the 3rd floor. (Be prepared to climb some stairs though) The kitchen was clean and modern. We did not cook when we were there as we had many events to attend. Luckily though, located just steps from the house was a tiny, little Italian place (The Bread Box) where we ate when we first arrived, starving from our long trip, and not yet stopping for groceries. They have a large menu for such a small place. They also deliver but it is so close there was no need. It was 2 blocks from a Dunkin' Donuts a couple blocks further is the Blue Heron for coffee and more, and a CVS pharmacy for anything you may have forgotten to pack. The townhouse is definitely walking distance from downtown and in a clean and safe neighborhood. We were there in late summer/early fall and the times we used air conditioning it was great along with fans in all the rooms. There is a gas grill out back as well. Other family members who had rented other homes visited us and were very impressed by this one compared to theirs. The owner answered any of our questions promptly. We would definitely recommend this property.
Great house in nice location
The house is located in the up & coming west end neighborhood, with many conveniences within walking distance. We brought our toddlers and felt the house was perfect for kids, with a park at end of the street and carpeting throughout stairs/upper floors. The house is very well maintained and equipped. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
Great place with plenty of room
