About Alain Berube

I grew up in Montreal, love sports and always loved the Laurentians ( St.Sauveur and area) always love to come up with my wife and ski, cross country or use the bicycle path, every season has something to offer. We live in Rigaud Quebec and come up as much as we can. You get it all in one wonderful picturesque place.

Alain Berube purchased this house in 2011

Why Alain Berube chose Quebec

We absolutely fell in love with this place, it has everything you could want. All the winter sports, the summer hiking, biking, swimming, any water activities with all the great lakes, the outdoor festivities in St. Sauveur and great restaurants. It has it all, without the noise, and 5 min. away from St. Sauveur. The property is quiet , large, private fully equipped for a great family vacation.

What makes this house unique

So well located. Piedmont is literally 5 min. from St. Sauveur. It's a big beautiful stone house with a detached garage, and very private. Huge lot in the front with pine trees, the backyard has a wonderful terrace with a gazebo, barbecue, heated swimming pool and a gate that brings you to an enchanted forest with paths going downhill. The small forest is part of the property and very peaceful with little surprises for all.

Beautiful, spacious, and comfortable home in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying at this well appointed, private property that is perfectly located less than 5 minutes from the village of St Sauveur. We travelled as two families with young children, and were so impressed that we were already planning our return trip before we left the first time! This home has lots of space for our children to play, as well as very spacious common areas that are great for accommodating a large group for dinner and relaxing in the main living areas. It also has large bedrooms that are spread out and allow for lots of quiet restful time when needed. It's a great spot for two or even three families to share comfortably. Our kids (and the adults too, for that matter) probably enjoyed the pool the most, which was heated. There is also a forest surrounding the property that has a short trail to a creek, with lots of in artwork to watch for and explore! Our sons loved the musical statue that you can actually play. I should also mention that any question we had or small issue that arose was swiftly taken care of by Alain. We've stayed at many VRBO properties, and he is one of easiest and most hospitable owners we've encountered. He and his wife are wonderful! We can't wait to come back for our third stay!

Wonderful Laurentian area rental!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfectly located. It was fully equipped with everything. Our kids loved the pool. We don't always want to go out for dinner so there was a big size bbq and outdoor seating which was covered. There were lounge chairs and sunny outdoor seating too. It was in a quiet neighborhood. Alaina was very nice and when we had a question, he responded quickly. The house is well kept and very clean. The local shops and restaurants were a short car ride away. We would absolutely come back.

Wonderful Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I loved this house. We stayed here for December vacation, the house was spacious, the views were stunning and warm. The trip was absolutely a wonderful experience. The shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away. We would highly recommend this vacation home.

Thank you so much Alain and Joanne for setting this up and giving us the experience of a lifetime.

Wonderful vacation home in the Laurentians

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay as two couples in this lovely home on the mountain.

The home was immaculate and we were greeted by the owner Alain who made us feel right at home.

He couldn't have been more kind...bringing us wood for a fire on a chilly night and sharing this beautiful wooded property.

The pool was heated and, although it was too cold to swim, we enjoyed sitting around the pool and using the bbq.

The kitchen was very well equipped and you could easily enjoy dinner for eight or ten at the beautiful antique dining table.

Close to golf, a short walk to a ski hill, and a five minute drive to the shops and restaurants of St Sauveur a perfect getaway.

Thankyou for a wonderful stay. We will return!!

Great vacation home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the house with another family of four. There was lots of space for everyone. The beds were comfortable. The house was spotless! The kitchen had everything needed to cook great meals. The huge table was great for our large group. The property is well maintained and the private pool is perfect. The house is in a safe neighbourhood and close to everything.

We met the owner who is very friendly and willing to help with anything you need. The owner is very honest - we accidentially left a lot of cash when we checked out and the owner contacted us to let us know. Within a few hours the money we left had be deposited into our account.

We would highly recommend this house. Thank you for the great vacation.

Another year ... another great time!

  • 5 of 5

We were there just last year and returned to enjoy another great holiday. The location is fun with so many things to do close by, but yet you feel like you're really out on your own somewhere enjoying some real R&R. The house is so spacious that we brought another couple up with us this year - and there was still plenty of breathing room. It really is a home away from home with all amenities required and more. The heated in-ground pool is simply a great way to relax, refresh and have some fun. The owners are so nice and easy to get along with, they simply make your holiday/arrangements easy and carefree. We've been before and we'll be back again!
