First time I’ve booked with VRBO. Unit itself was nice, I even saw manatees from my balcony, the resort however left MUCH to be desired. The resort property was not well maintained, and didn’t have amenities that I’m accustomed to. I guess you get what you pay for.
Brother's Weekend was amazing!
This place was perfect in every way. We had 6 adult men and each person had their own bed. The place is well kept and located on a property with two pools, two restaurants, a private beach and fishing pier on Tampa Bay, we had everything we needed to celebrate my Brother's upcoming wedding. Cindy was especially helpful with our check in and the place was spotless when we arrived. We would definitely rent here again and I would recommend this place to anyone.
When we first arrived we had an issue with the door code that was very resolved immediately with a quick phone call. After that, everything was smooth sailing. We had 2 families with us on our 5 day, 4 night trip and were beyond satisfied. The place was very clean and had everything we needed aside from food and our own traveling expendables (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.). The local grocery stores were very close although the 2 restaurants on the properties made it to where we did not need to purchase much. Comfortable beds, beautiful scenery, more amenities than we could use during our short stay, and hidden treasures like the beach toys and umbrella stroller in the garage are reasons we will definitely be booking again next year. We spent time at the property majority of the time but found time to visit the Tampa Aquarium, Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios all at reasonable travel times. Instructions for anything needed during our stay were all included in the white binder provided, and made our valued time well utilized. Hoping this property is available next year and many more as we WILL be returning.
Ron's Boys Trip
Property was clean and well maintained.
The gated community that the condo is located is wonderful! Everything is right there. The only thing we used our car for was to get groceries. The condo is clean and roomy with a great layout. There were a few issues when we arrived, but maintenance took care of them and we had a wonderful vacation.
Well worth it, but be flexible.
Recommend staying at this VRBO. We rented unit 430. Disclaimer: I am writing as a father of 4. My wife and I were very excited to rent a townhome instead of the hotel life. Below are our findings with this property. Pros and cons from a family of 6 (9, 7, 5 and infant)
A lot of space. Our kiddos loved having their own room. With an infant, my wife and I enjoyed having a room we could put him to bed and still enjoy time with the older kids. The beds are very comfortable with extra blankets available in the closets. Access to the pool and beach are easy and accessible. Go to the beach closest to the restaurant. The other beach is not private and very popular with the locals. We did not rent the golf cart. We found walking and/or taking our vehicle was easy. Prepare to have sand in the car. If you need a high chair, packNplay and/or stroller, that is an option. Each room has a TV with access to Roku. You can access your personal Netflix or Prime accounts from the Roku. You do NOT need a Roku account. Remember to log out or change your passwords when you get home. The pool access was great. The pool is heated and passed by many evenings for our kids. The washing machine/dryer is perfect. Pack little pods though. Nothing provided.
There is not enough silverware. No salt/pepper, BUT enough other spices to make a gourmet meal. They provided 3 garbage bags, which was not enough (we were there 5 nights). There was no broom, but a vacuum in every room. The front door would not lock (probably my fault). Management will respond occasionally. They prefer texting over phone calls. Not enough dish rags/towels. No cleaning supplies such as 409 to wipe down counters. We found it odd that they ask you to clean up, but don't provide the tools to clean up. Because of all of this, we made a run to a local Wal-Mart and loaded up on groceries and household items. I suggest arriving, make your list and then make a run.
Be flexible. This is a good option for the price. We enjoyed our stayed and went into our vacation to just relax and not let little things bother us.
