This is our second listing and does not have too many reviews yet, but check out our first condo, (Nice apartment in prime location), which is in the same building and you will get a better idea about us and the area.
Nicely furnished and decorated 2 bedroom apartment.
The apartment is located in a great neighborhood and prime location. We are a young, hardworking couple. We are trying to live a healthy life style. We love city living with all the parks, events, walking distance the restaurants, we love gardening, continuously working on our house :). We love St Louis and glad to share it with all the guests who come to stay with us.
Dmitriy Kabargin purchased this apartment in 2010
In the Summer:
- every Wednesday we go to FREE Jazz concerts at the Botanical Garden.
-every Saturday we go to Tower Grove Park for Farmers Market and a Free yoga class, and splash fountains.
-Wednesday mornings there are free musical activities for kids with different instruments at Tower Grove Park,
-Every Monday, Free classical music concerts at Tower Grove Park,
Not to mention all kind of festivals: Botanical Garden Lantern festival, Japanese Festival, Chinese Festival, Festival of Nations, Shaw art Fair. The last one is organized by many Shaw neighborhood volunteers.
We love to be able to walk to all the activities and love to be part of the truly wonderful supportive community.
We’ve lived in this neighborhood since 2007 and we can tell that Shaw is a treasure that has so many jewels awaiting your discovery . Not only it has a very active community, there is no other places in ST Louis that would offer sooo many walkable things to do.
What a wonderful experience staying at Kabargin's place. Dmitriy greeted us when we arrive, with some amazing local donuts, coffee and wine. The apartment itself was son very well kept and inviting. We absolutely loved the Local Harvest Cafe the Dmitriy had recommended to us as well. We had everything we could have possibly have needed when arriving. It's all the little thoughtful touches that are in place at this apartment that truly persuades me to want to come back to St. Louis and to stay here specifically. Cheers To the Kabargins!
Awesome location in a great neighborhood. A brief stroll away from Botanical Garden, Tower Grove Park, and Sweet Art bakeshop. A short drive from everything else in St. Louis! Surprisingly quiet street and building. Our host was in touch with us, gave clear instructions, and left fresh donuts and his Botanical Garden membership card for us to borrow. Top-notch experience. Comfy, relaxing, fun, and easy!
The property was in a very good location. There was a very nice Park (Tower Grove Park) very close and the St. Louis Botanical Garden was also very close. Dmitriy is very personable, was very easy to work with, responded quickly to emails and also brought us doughnuts! The first night in St. Louis we walked to a nearby restaurant - Shasha's on Shaw - very close and very good food (in Dmitriy's book of suggestions). The property was very clean, the air conditioning worked very well (outside temp was mid to upper 90s). Dmitriy was a great host. We strongly recommend this property and would stay here again.
I stayed here for 2 nights with my wife, our nearly 2 year old toddler, and my in-laws. This apartment fit our needs perfectly.
When we arrived, there was a slight mix-up with some other travelers having accidentally got our key. Dmitri was quickly responsive and got it resolved very quickly. Dmitri also provided some amazing donuts that we snacked on throughout our stay.
The location is fantastic, we were close to the zoo and Busch Stadium. The apartment itself is old, but very well kept and updated. The bathroom shower has soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers. There was also coffee provided in the kitchen.
I'm not saying much more than anyone else hasn't already said in other reviews, but I'll add that Dmitri provides exceptional service. He was able to resolve the early mix-up quickly, he gave a great restaurant recommendation (3 Monkeys Pizza, it's fantastic), notified us about a free jazz concert one night, and he even mailed my wife's camera battery charger back to our home after she accidentally left it there. You won't find better service than that in any hotel.
It was perfect for our needs and the owner was very atentitive us. We will definitely rent this again. Oh yeah, our whole family loved the rabbits and chickens in the back yard. That was so nice.
We loved staying at this place for our week-long trip to St. Louis. This place was perfect for the four of us. It was nice and clean and there was plenty of room for all of us to not feel like we were on top of each other. We were a little worried with four adults sharing one bathroom, but it wasn't a problem at all! There's a mirror and sink in the kitchen so a lot of times we used that space to get ready in the mornings and evenings. We also weren't sure about not having a common living space. But there's a couch in the kitchen and one in the bedroom, so we doubled those rooms as common spaces. Our group knew everyone well enough that we didn't mind all piling into our room to watch tv. The location is great. Theres a beautiful park down the road, and its only about a 10 min drive from downtown. We loved the location, and we were sad when we had to leave. Dmitri is also the best host, leaving us chocolates and donuts during the week as well as making sure we had everything we needed. He also has a binder of local restaurants with their menus in them so you can check out what they have before you head over. If we're ever in the St Louis area again, we will definitely look into using this place again!
My husband and I rented this property for our first vacation with two children. Dimitri was a fantastic host. When I couldn't figure out how to work the TV at 11:00 p.m. our first night there he texted me right back and then called me with clear instructions. We absolutely loved the property and especially the Shaw neighborhood. The only part of the apartment that gave me pause, and only because I was traveling with small children, is that each bedroom has an exterior entrance. It just made me a bit uncomfortable. But we ended up sleeping in the same room as our toddler and putting the baby right next door in the kitchen. I realize the exterior entrances off of the bedrooms are common in this age of home in this part of town so I don't mean that as a negative reflection on the owner at all. I liked how the kitchen had a door and so it was easy to corral our toddler in the kitchen area while we were eating or playing. When booking future St. Louis vacations I will absolutely check this owner's properties first to see if any are available.
