Bob and Dany both grew up on Long Island. They feel Huntington is the best town on Long Island and New York is the best state in the union. No better place to live.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2009
The perfect location with the perfect amount of space.
The unique expanded layout and its infinite possibilities.
Loved loved loved this place and the owners.
Beautiful rental, beautiful neighborhood, beautiful property. Loved the loft bedroom. The pictures on the walls are perfect.
This was our third stay at Dany & BBob's home. Everything is always perfect. These are the people that you wish lived next door to you. We'll be back again.
You can't beat this place for the area, where there is pitifully little in terms of actual places to stay that are affordable. If you can't (or don't want to) do an entire house but want to be able to cook some meals and have some space to yourself, this is definitely for you. The apartment was immaculate, well-appointed and quiet, everything worked (air conditioners, tv, etc) and it was nicely decorated. My favorite feature was the coffee table that converts into a dining table/desk. I was able to actually get some work done! There were even nice touches like a new sponge in the kitchen and shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the shower. I stayed with my husband and 3-year old which worked out fine, although I think the ideal occupants would probably be a couple. The stairs to the loft bedroom are quite steep, so my daughter stayed in the living room. There was no way she was going to try the stairs as she's a pretty cautious kid, but if you have one that's not so risk-averse you might want to keep it in mind. The owners are lovely, and they've worked hard to make this a great place to stay. I highly recommend staying here if you find yourself traveling to this part of Long Island.
Home away from home best describes this lovely apartment nested in the village of Huntington. Cozy and Clean well appointed with lots of pictures and nautical decorations. Ice cold AC for those warm summer nights and a super TV. Good for a single or a couple. Short cab or UBER from the train station. Walkable to the village. Does have a very steep staircase to the bedroom so not for the physically challenged. Great place to rest and recharge after a day in NYC. About a 45 minute train ride to NYC. Overall Excellant for the price. Owners are warm wonderful people.
My sister and I had a great stay here in early July. If you want to visit the north shore of Long Island you have realized by now that there are very few, if any, places to stay near Huntington/Centerport/Northport. We were visiting family and were happy to be so close to them with easy access to the waterfront. A great get-a-way spot for anyone but be aware the loft bedroom is steep so you have to be willing to climb a bit.
Extremely clean and cozy. Owners are very easy to talk to and very friendly I would recommend this place 100 percent. Home has a cozy feeling lots of books and great decor! Thank you so much for allowing me to rent your home I will def rent again in the future.
