This fantastic apartment is located in the Grassmarket area of Edinburgh just a stones through from Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. There are a great selection of pubs, restaurants, antique shops etc on your doorstep. This apartment is available for Self Catering & Holiday Lets, Short Term & Corporate Lets, City & Weekend Breaks and the Festival.

The apartment has been stylishly decorated throughout and consists of two double bedrooms, one a very large master bedroom. The good size living room contains a large corner sofa and is open to the fully equipped modern kitchen, which has a breakfast table.

L'appartement est très bien situé, au coeur de la vieille ville. Il est équipé simplement mais correspond tout à fait à nos attentes pour visiter Edimbourg. Les fenêtres nécessiteraient d'être équipées d'un double vitrage pour un meilleur confort. Nous recommandons cette location aux personnes qui viennent à Edimbourg pour profiter de la ville et de la vie nocturne. Danielle et Patrick

property needs a lot of work

This property is in a good location. the kitchen is well-equipped. but i must say, the positives stop there. When we arrived we had questions and some concerns, and could not get hold of anyone. the name left in the property information folder, no longer managed this property. that was the first disappointment. i really did not like not being able to have contact with someone. the apartment did not feel or look clean. let's just say no one wanted to walk barefoot on the floors. the windows either did not open or would not stay open because of broken hardware. our bedroom door was off the bottom hinge. there were no directions on how to use the washer. probably the worst problem was the mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. that must be a health hazard. the apt. is above and to the side of a restaurant. just be ready for the smell of fish and the sound of bottles being recycled. the smell and the sounds cannot be helped by the owner, but I feel certain the other concerns can be rectified. i emailed the owner about my concerns, and never received a reply to any of my issues with the property.

Owner's Response: I am sorry to hear about the problems you encountered at our apartment although a little bit surprised that you feel the need to rate it so low. Past reviews and feedback has always been very positive. During the Festival/Summer months I do experience a lot of same day change overs which makes decoration and maintenance a problem over this period. Any problems highlighted above have all now been sorted however and the apartment has been fully decorated and repainted. I have always striven to communicate well with guests both before, during and after their stay. I don't live in Edinburgh but my sister does and her contact details are on the welcome email as well as mine. Kind regards Gavin

Excellent spacious flat in a fantastic location- ideal for the Edinburgh Festival

We had a wonderful time- as a family of four the flat met all our needs, it was spacious and nicely presented. Right on the Grassmarket we were in the heart of the action and were able to really soak up the atmosphere of the Fringe, we could get to where we needed to go really easily and in the evenings it was so lovely to just head out onto the Grassmarket and pick one of the fab restaurants there.

The property more than lived up to our expectations and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back next year!

Good Location but not very good property

The property is not in very good shape, the front panel of the cutlery drawer is loose and you cannot open the drawer without if falling off. The bathroom ceiling is covered in mildew which is probably due to the fact that there is no extractor fan - or at least not one that works. I cannot see us recommending this property

Owner's Response: Hi Patricia Thanks for taking the time to review the property. I am sorry to hear about the problems you have highlighted about the cutlery drawer and the extractor in the toilet. Unfortunately at this time of year there has been several same day change overs and I have not been able to get in to sort out any maintenance issues. It is my intention to get all maintenance issues done this September as well as a freshen up with painting and getting new soft furnishings etc in. Clean and cozy. Great location in Old Town Edinburgh!!

We loved the location and the apartment was very comfortable but the back room window is a single pane glass that allowing all the noise from the lower restaurant to come through. It seemed like the window was open when it was not.

Excellent location

The apartment is in the perfect location for exploring Edinburgh on foot. Almost everything is within a few minute walk. The apartment itself is rather dilapidated, although it did serve its purpose. We stayed with another couple and had plenty of room.
