The most beautiful property in a stunning location

  • 5 of 5

My family have just returned from Honeysuckle Cottage and really cannot praise it highly enough. The cottage has everything you need, the décor is tasteful and the fittings are of a much higher quality than you would expect. Lyndsey is so friendly and is obviously passionate about her lovely place, and quite rightly so. We do hope to return for a longer stay. The area is simply wonderful. Tracey Taverner

Fabulous place to stay

  • 5 of 5

I travelled with my family to stay for two nights while attending the Rugby World Cup in Cardiff for the quarter final weekend. We were looking for somewhere away from the hussle of Cardiff and wanted seclusion and scenery both of which Honeysuckle Cottage offer in abundance. It was interesting to arrive at 2:30am from the car ferry and head down a very narrow country lane but the place was simply amazing when we arrived. Lyndsey was really nice and had the heating and lights on to make it easy to find and provide immediate comfort. The cottage is like a home from home and we will definitely consider returning to take in some hikes in the area and enjoy the place more than on this quick visit.

We have just returned from a weekend at Honeysuckle Cottage - we all felt we'd had a real rest even though we did some walking.....we managed a long walk to Oxwich Bay along the costal path which was amazing and met lots of super friendly people along the way. Lyndsey was fab and had a chilled bottle of rose in the fridge waiting for our arrival which was lovely after a slow drive in Friday traffic from Bath......we have all decided already we are going back for another girlie weekend. The cottage is well equipped, toasty warm with super comfy beds. We all slept very well....and it's lovely and quiet!!! ....a trip to Rhossili is a must too.....thanks Lynsey xxx

Sure the cottage is spotless and has all the stuff you need. But what makes it magical is the beautiful details inside and out. We love all of the Gower, but there is something very special about Pwll Du, Bantam Bay and its surrounds. Having it all right on our doorstep was luxurious to say the least. If that wasn't enough, Lyndsey inspired us to have a night time swim in the bay with the phosphorescence. To quote my son, "it was epic!".

We think it is best beach in Gower and feel so privileged to have it on our doorstep! It is lovely to be able to share it with our visitors. Thank you for taking the time to review us. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful place.

  • 5 of 5

Honeysuckle Cottage is beautiful, even better than the description. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We especially enjoyed sitting out in the private garden to eat breakfast. Our hosts made us very welcome, they even arranged for our son to ride one of their horses. The cottage is in a lovely spot with wonderful walks along the coast path with amazing views. It is within easy reach of Mumbles and Swansea for shopping and there is lots to do and see within a short drive of the cottage. All in all a great holiday.

The local area comprises of stunning countryside and cliff views and spectacular golden sandy beaches, including Three Cliffs bay close by which was a finalist in the TV programme Britain's Best View. Tidal and woodland valleys can be explored just a short walk away.

Pwll du bay is a secret treasure situated five minutes from the cottage. It is usually quiet and a naturally sheltered cove with lots of delightful rock pools for children to explore. Nearby there are some lovely cafes which make an ideal stopping point for lunch and coffee, cakes or ice creams. There are also lots of excellent pubs.

A short drive away is the quaint seaside village of Mumbles. It is full of quaint shops, clothing and shoe shops and lots of cafes and restaurants.

Many water sports and outdoor activities can be enjoyed in the area, from surfing and sailing to horse-riding, cycling and climbing. If you want to see the coast from the perspective of the sea you could take a trip on the Gower Explorer.

Golf: There is a local golf course nearby called Pennard Golf Club. This is highly regarded course which many deem challenging. It takes in breathtaking views across the Three Cliffs Valley and the sea escapes beyond. If you are a keen golfer or just love spectacular views it is well worth a visit.
