Luxurious 2 bedroom lodge with private garden and off street parking

Redcarr Lodge is an idyllic lodge house, dating back to 1860, located in a stunning rural setting on the edge of the conservation village of Blairlogie in the shadow of the Ochil Hills near the historic city of Stirling in the heart of Scotland. The lodge is immaculately presented and tastefully decorated.

The luxury accommodation at Redcarr Lodge comprises 1 double and 1 twin bedroom; a fully equipped kitchen; shower room with walk-in shower; and an open-plan lounge and dining room with multi-fuel stove.

Stirling is situated at the centre of Scotland and it has direct travel links to many of the major cities in Scotland – including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. There are many attractions in the local area, including, an historic castle which was believed to be the “key to Scotland” in medieval days, many nature walks and hill walking opportunities, numerous fine dining and entertainment establishments and the World’s only boat wheel – the Falkirk Wheel.

There are also many attractions for children all over the local area as well as shops, bakeries and sports opportunities galore as well as a fantastic safari park. There is also a microbrewery, golf course and fishing area should the adults wish to relax too!

Annual short break in Scotland

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for just three nights at Redcarr Lodge and found it to be a unique and lovely property in a beautiful rural setting. The house is very well equipped and extremely comfortably furnished with very modern conveniences. The hosts provided a welcome pack and ensured that we were settled with a personal visit. The rooms were very comfortable and warm and the hosts had provided ample entertainments in the way of books, DVD's and games.

We used the house as a base to travel to the surrounding area and had no problem finding it from the directions given at the outset. The only grumble we would have, if pushed, is that the road which runs alongside the property is quite busy and this is noticeable early in the morning.

I would and have recommended the property to friends/family.

Owner's Response: It is great to hear you had a wonderful stay at Redcarr Logde. The property is well placed for lots of sight seeing, and it is in such a pretty setting at the foot of the Ochil hills. The road can be busy, but hopefully the picturesque setting more than makes up for any noise you experienced when you first arrived. Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review - maybe we can welcome you back again one day!

Redcarr Lodge 2016

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful cottage, very comfortable, clean, with all electric appliances that anyone would need whilst on a break away from home. It is located in Clackmannanshire in central Scotland making it ideal for trips out to Stirling, Perth, Glasgow, Edinburgh, actually anywhere in central and southern Scotland. The only problem was the noise from traffic passing the cottage on the main road to Stirling. It was really only a minor drawback as you quickly get used to it and don't notice it that much anymore. The cottage itself was great and I would highly recommend it if you are planning a trip to central Scotland.

Lovely place, in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay at Redcarr Lodge, great location with lots of lovely walks around. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Cottage was equipped with everything we needed during our stay ( a few more wine glasses in the kitchen wouldn't go amiss!), was great to have a highchair and cot there as well as I was travelling with a one year old.
