About julie crow

Hi, my name is Julie Crow and I am an American born in Dallas, TX. I fell in love with Santa Fe when I was a child... and have been coming here ever since. There is a peacefulness and calm that comes from this place. It is as if my soul seeks refuge and is replenished each and every time I am here. It is truly as if time stands still. I am able to give myself more quiet time and cherish my moments with my family, that much more. If you are here alone or with friends or family... I hope you will also find the peace and light here as I have. (Photo) of my sister and I at The Shed... love the shrimp!!!

Why julie crow chose New Mexico

The first time I saw this property I knew it was where I wanted to be... for quiet and peacefulness, or enjoying the entire family and 'all' five boys. We love to go to Harry's a landmark in Santa Fe just 5 min. from the house.

The quiet and breathtaking views stole my heart. Where each and every night God's hand is painting a new spectacular sunset. Sometimes in bold and beautiful colors, others in light pale pallets. Each one more breathtaking than the next. With the Santa Fe year round activities and 320 sunny days a year.

What makes this house unique

Mi Casa in Santa Fe, is truly a destination. One of my favor things about this house is the second floor balcony, just off the master suite. I like to open the doors in the morning and look for miles at the mountain tops and the piñon trees and smell the Juniper. This traditional adobe where skylights abound to let natural light in, arched doorways, vigas, portals and three kiva fireplaces make this home special. Each room in this house has a different wood ceiling, from large vaulted mammoth beams to small pine wood branches. The walls are diamond plastered with many niches and architectural interest. The fifty foot front porch is a nice place to congregate for coffee in the morning and star gaze at night. In addition, there is a self contained 800 sq. ft. Casita next door for added family or guests that can sleep four. All of this is just minutes away from the historic Plaza, all the downtown cultural amenities, art, art and more art and and all the many fine restaurants.

great house! great town!

We (2 grandparents, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 1 friend) had a terrific stay in Julie Crow's incredible house, and it is only 20 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The house is beautifully situated in the mountains and feels very private, yet is close to all the places you want to go. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are too (whirlpool tubs plus showers). We didn't use the sauna, but it's a bonus we've never seen in a VRBO rental. The kitchen is truly fully equipped. And for a visit to Santa Fe, it's the perfect place to stay because the pueblo style of the house is gorgeous

Everything functioned properly and when we needed a couple of extra blankets the owner was just a friendly phone call away. We had a great time and highly recommend Santa Fe and Mi Casa as a destination!

Beautifully appointed home

  • 5 of 5

Mi Casa is a spacious, comfortable, well appointed and cared for home with ample grounds and amazing mountain views! Our host was gracious and accommodating and very responsive to our needs. We enjoyed many of the area's local activities including fly fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. We highly recommend the property and would be happy to return again should we have the opportunity!

Stunning home with truly breathtaking views and great location!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Mi casa is a fabulous home and beautifully decorated in southwestern décor. Very bright and fully equipped gourmet kitchen with both seating area with dining table and large island with bar stools for quick meals before going site seeing. House is located on top of mountain ridge with beautiful scenic mountain views and also a great location for visiting many must see places in Santa Fe and around New Mexico. The living room is beautifully decorated and with spacious seating. The upstairs Master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the numerous mountain ranges. Many nights we sat on the balcony, having a glass of wine and enjoyed a spectacular time star gazing. We had not seen that many stars in the sky since we were small children. House is located near many great site seeing places to discover and visit. We very much enjoyed visiting historic section of Santa Fee, especially seeing and talking to the native Indians selling their hand made jewery on the square. And had wonderful time strolling down Canyon drive and visiting all the unique art galleries. In Santa Fe we discovered great food with many restaurants offering local favorites to try and enjoy. We had so much fun visiting the near by places of interest, including a beautiful scenic drive to Taos, where we stopped at a local winery for some wine tasting and tour. We also visited the quite unique and infamous town of Madrid and walked thru some of the oldest historical pueblos. One of our true highlights was that we took a two day trip and visited the Grand Canyon. We took an airplane tour around the entire canyon that was breathtaking and a tremendous scenic experience. On the way back from the grand Canyon we stopped in a fascinating historical Indian town called Zuni where we purchased some very beautiful hand made jewelry.

This vacation has truly been one of our most memorable trips, made possible by our stay at Micasa, as this is fabulous home well decorated, fully equiped and very comfortably furnished. The location is perfect for relaxing , with beautiful mountain views , and great location for seeing the great sites and places around santa fe and new Mexico.

Owner's Response: Dear Diane and Steve, Thank you for your lovely review. I am so glad you enjoyed the house. Taking in the views from the upstairs balcony is one of my favorite things to do too… day or night. It sounds like you did a little bit of everything and had a wonderful vacation. We hope to have you back again soon. Thank you so much. Safe Travels, Julie

Set in a dramatic location that encompasses views of four different mountain ranges on 10 acres, Mi Casa is the ideal location for your stay in Santa Fe. The beauty and peacefulness of its surroundings are unmatched and the close proximity to the galleries and restaurants of Santa Fe make its location the best of both worlds.

But some of the best views are on the inside of this Adobe home. The home has been lovingly furnished with extensive southwestern touches: hand-carved doors, Native American crafts and beautiful folk art from around the area, Lots of original art in every room and many other artistic details. Enjoy the sunsets with great friends and family among the Pinon trees and wildlife. 15 min. to sightseeing in downtown Santa Fe and 10 min. to fishing the Pecos River. A popular area for bike riding enthusiast and close to a local starting point for most rides. Easy access to I-25. Several outdoor seating areas, trails plus an additional 800 sq. ft Casita if needed. A true get-a-way to quiet, beauty and sunsets that will take your breath away.
