About julie crow
I fell in love with Santa Fe when I was a child... and have been in love ever since. There is a peacefulness and calm that comes from this place. It is as if my soul seeks refuge and is replenished each and every time I am here. It is truly as if time stands still. I am able to give myself more quiet time and cherish my moments with my family, that much more. If you are here alone or with friends or family... I hope you will also find the peace and light here as I have. (Photo) of my sister and I at The Shed... love the shrimp!!!

Why julie crow chose Santa Fe County
The first time I saw this property I knew it was where I wanted to be... for quiet and peacefulness, or enjoying the entire family. We love to go to Harry's a landmark in Santa Fe just 5 min. from the house. The quiet and breathtaking views stole my heart. Where each and every night God's hand is painting a new spectacular sunset. Sometimes in bold and beautiful colors, others in light pale pallets. Each one more breathtaking than the next. With the Santa Fe year round activities and 320 sunny days a year.
What makes this House unique
Mi Casa in Santa Fe, is truly a destination. One of my favor things about the house is the second floor balcony, just off the master suite. I like to open the doors in the morning and look for miles at the mountain tops and the piñon trees and smell the Juniper. This traditional adobe where skylights abound to let natural light in, arched doorways, vigas, portals and three kiva fireplaces make this home special. Each room in this house has a different wood ceiling, from large vaulted mammoth beams to small pine wood branches. The walls are diamond plastered with many niches and architectural interest. The fifty foot front porch is a nice place to congregate for coffee in the morning and star gaze at night. In addition, there is a self contained 800 sq. ft. Casita next door for added family or guests that can sleep four. All of this is just minutes away from the historic Plaza, all the downtown cultural amenities, art, art and more art and and all the many fine restaurants.

Wonderful house in remote location
My family of nine really enjoyed our stay at Mi Casa. The house is absolutely beautiful with very thoughtful authentic detail. The view and location is also unbeatable. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Santa Fe, but there are restaurants and a grocery store within 10-15 minutes. The sunsets are unbeatable. The only thing to notes are (1) the queen bedroom does not have a door and is very loud, and (2) there are not many shades on any of the windows so don’t count on sleeping in. The sauna was a great bonus and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed except for paper towels. We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend the home to anyone wanting a Santa Fe vacation without all the city traffic.
Comfortable home in a beautiful secluded and quiet area outside of Santa Fe
Our family group of 7 had a lovely stay at this property. The home was nicely furnished and very comfortable, the property was very nice and the views were gorgeous. The reason we did not give it 5 stars is because of the lack of basic amenities you would expect in a place of this quality and price. For instance, paper supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex tissues, shower soap or gel etc. were either non-existent or in very short supply. Some sheets had holes in them. Many other little things we expected from the website description were absent. We suspect that whoever was taking care of the property was not doing a thorough job as the upstairs heat was not working when we arrived and the smoke alarm was beeping We were thankful for dry weather as access to the house is on a 2-1/2 mile very rough dirt road which was not stated on the website (but was in a review.) Some attention to detail would make this a 5 star property.
The high points would be the beautiful home, comfortably and artistically decorated, with a real "cooks" kitchen. The view is quite stunning from the second story. It is very secluded, we never saw another person, after turning onto the dirt road. The quiet nights were exquisite.
The drawbacks are the difficult, rutted, dirt road into the property (a tough 4-wheel drive car might be necessary) and the lay-out of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The master suite is wonderful, but there is only one other adequate bedroom with a full bathroom. One downstairs bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from a bathroom. Two couples could be comfortable, but any more adults make the sleeping conditions undesirable. Extra young children could be perfectly happy without a private bathroom. Instructions are needed to operate the television. Lastly, new mattresses would complete an upgrade.
great house! great town!
We (2 grandparents, 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 1 friend) had a terrific stay in Julie Crow's incredible house, and it is only 20 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The house is beautifully situated in the mountains and feels very private, yet is close to all the places you want to go. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are too (whirlpool tubs plus showers). We didn't use the sauna, but it's a bonus we've never seen in a VRBO rental. The kitchen is truly fully equipped. And for a visit to Santa Fe, it's the perfect place to stay because the pueblo style of the house is gorgeous
The facility is just as advertised.
Everything functioned properly and when we needed a couple of extra blankets the owner was just a friendly phone call away. We had a great time and highly recommend Santa Fe and Mi Casa as a destination!
OMG! The home is beautiful!
The home is absolutely beautiful inside and outside! We went for Christmas celebration and all our families were together... Great experience!!!
Set in a dramatic location that encompasses views of four different mountain ranges on 10 acres, Mi Casa is the ideal location for your stay in Santa Fe. The beauty and peacefulness of its surroundings are unmatched and the close proximity to the galleries and restaurants of Santa Fe make its location the best of both worlds.
But some of the best views are on the inside of this Adobe home. The home has been lovingly furnished with extensive southwestern touches: hand-carved doors, Native American crafts and beautiful folk art from around the area, Lots of original art in every room and many other artistic details. Enjoy the sunsets with great friends and family among the Pinon trees and wildlife. 15 min. to sightseeing in downtown Santa Fe and 10 min. to fishing the Pecos River. A popular area for bike riding enthusiast and close to a local starting point for most rides. Easy access to I-25. Several outdoor seating areas, trails plus an additional 800 sq. ft Casita if needed. A true get-a-way to quiet, beauty and sunsets that will take your breath away.
