Great Location for the National Mall
Great 1 bed apartment in a fabulous location for exploring Washington DC. It was our first visit to DC so wanted to stay somewhere close to the National Mall with good transport links. This property has it all!! We walked from Union Station as wanted to explore the neighbourhood. It was a short 20-25 min walk through a residential area. We loved the area and how close it was to the National Mall, Eastern Market ( for subway and food markets) and to the Circulator bus routes (Handy for exploring the National Mall and getting to Georgetown). Ann came to see us on our first evening. We had taken Ann's advice and ordered a food delivery as we planned to eat at home in the evenings. Ann helped by supplying some additional oven tins and utensils. Also supplied PGTips teabags which was very kind (I am a tea drinker from the UK). Apartment big enough for two people. Large living room with tasteful decor and comfy seating. Bedroom with good wardrobe space. Access to washer and dryer. This was a life saver for us as we were travelling. We made good use of the laundry facilities. And replaced the detergent that we used. The kitchen had all the basics needed for cooking - oil, salt, pepper plus tin foil. We were grateful for the tea, coffee and milk left for us as were able to have a drink while waiting for food delivery. We hired a zip car for one day. This was located nearby and very convenient. We plan to recommend this property to family and friends travelling to DC. If we return, we would certainly book again. Great location and good value. Thanks Ann!
Nice spot for a visit to DC
Beautiful, safe, walkable neighborhood. Clean, cute, and comfortable property to come home to after a busy day of sightseeing. Excellent communication with owner. Appreciated having bottled water in the fridge. Recommend and would stay here again.
Owner was helpful and responsive, and the access to laundry and back yard was a plus.
Second time we've stayed here, and we hope to be back. Basement apartment is cozy, clean, and perfect place to land at the end of busy days out. Comfortable bed and bedding, large thick towels, strong shower.

Great communication with Ann - we arrived late, and she had weekend plans - everyone was informed -
Ann checked in on us before leaving on weekend plan to make sure we were settled in and see if we had any questions.
The apartment was located close to my daughter, easy walk to the Capitol, Eastern Market, restaurants, and the metro - bonus the weather was good too -
Great place to stay for a little getaway
The property was as described in the photo’s and description. Ann was very welcoming of us and our little pup. We didn’t have an access code but when we called Ann she answered right away. She came to greet us after we got all settled in and showed us how to work the tricky tv and told us about the area (where to get food, where the market was etc) The apartment was very clean and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. It was a quiet area and a short scooter or bike ride to the memorials and downtown dc. The only thing is the bed was a little too firm for my liking but it did it’s job for the two nights I was there. Overall it was a great place to stay.
