This lovely Cape Cod style home has 4 bedrooms: Main floor bedroom with queen size bed, 2 upstairs bedrooms with 2 full beds in each, and 1 upstairs with bunk bed, daybed, and a twin bed. there are 2 bathrooms, 1 on each level. Downstairs is a family room with fireplace and large flat screen tv, sunroom, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with 2 refridgeraters. There is a den on second floor. Outside you will find a covered porch with ceiling fans and a brick patio with a charcoal and a top of the line gas grill.
The yard is very large and level to the water where you will find a one of a kind dock with a screened and covered second level. It is a great place to beat the heat under the ceiling fans, with a lovely view of the lake.
We chose this property because: The yard is very nice and level, The water at the shore is shallow enough for young children to play in yet deep enough for boats to come in to the dock. It sits at the end of a nice no wake zone which means it is very nice and quiet.
Thank you for a great week in your lake home. My husband and our 3 children enjoyed the covered dock for boating, tubing, and fishing. We had my Dad, brother, sister, and her children meet us for the first half of the week. We spent a couple of days playing on the water and grilling while the kids learned how to survive without cable TV and WiFi. They had plenty to keep them busy here. Your bunk room provided 3 nights of sleepover silliness with cousins and memories they will never forget. It's beautiful here and you have everything a family needs to have a memorable trip.
The property was clean and well kept. It's an easy walk down to the dock, which made it easy for our young children. The water near the dock is shallow which was great for the smaller children. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught a lot of small fish without any significant effort. It was quiet, relaxing and peaceful (aside from our kids anyway).
Great home right on the water. Beautiful 3 story boat dock with screened in porch. Plenty of water at the dock for our bass boats. Plenty of beds for everyone. Kitchen has updated appliances and lots of dishes and flatware. Owner was very nice and easy to work with. Owner responded to questions and requests almost immediately. Lots of parking with a circle drive. We would absolutely stay here again.
What a great home. We held our family reunion here and it was more than perfect. Great place for our boat. Love the location. Will be back for sure!
My family enjoyed our vacation very much. Great place for a family vacation.great dock .Owner was very pleasant and nice to deal with.
Great location on the lake. Bay is big enough for water sports, but remote enough to keep boat traffic down. Marina is 5-10 minutes by boat. Beautiful lake with foothills in the background. Can walk to Dollar Store, ice cream, restaurant. Gentle sloping lot makes it easy access. Owners are very helpful and supportive. Great home with plenty of sleeping arrangements, great for kids. Already looking forward to our next trip!
Loved the vacation we were able to have here. The bedding situation is perfect for a family with children. The lot was level and had easy access to the lake for fishing and fun. The water level only varied a little during our time there and was shallow enough for our grandchildren to play and for the adults to relax in. We are big cookers and eat all our meals there. The kitchen needs some attention. The stove/oven and the refrigerators have issues that can hinder their use. If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton then this will not be where you want to be but if you're looking for a family oriented location to relax and enjoy. Then this is the place. We truly enjoyed our time there and look forward to next year.
Watts Bar Lake, located southwest of Knoxville and north of Chattanooga, is known as 'The King of the Southern Great Lakes', as it has 772 miles of shoreline and stretches 72 miles in length.
It lives up to its name by boasting large stretches of water, a multitude of islands, coves, peninsulas, fish, birds, and every kind of water-related sport imaginable. Watts Bar is too big to ever get really crowded!
The area also provides many opportunities for bird watching, with an extremely large population of great blue herons, over 120 nesting pairs of osprey, and a few bald eagles living on or near the lake.
Watts Bar Dam is only 5 minutes away as well as several Marinas and resturants.
