About Dan Trujillo
Retired 'Papa' and Grandma of six kids and ten grand-kids. Papa is a retired Denver Public Schools administrator and Grandma is a systems support specialist with the Postal Service. All our kids virtually grew up spending their summers in Lake City living in this home and have gone on to successful careers in Colorado and each still gets to the cabin several times a year. My new grand-daughters sitting in front of the fireplace giggling make it all worth while. Many happy memories of all seasons for our family at this wonderful home away from home. I hope you'll leave with family memories of your own.
Dan Trujillo purchased this Cabin in 1979
Why Dan Trujillo chose Lake City

Comfortable, well located rustic cabin with nice view
The location was excellent and had a nice view from front porch and from master bedroom/porch upstairs . The place was cozy and comfortable, with nice outdoor spaces and grill. The one slight negative (for some) was that all three bedrooms were upstairs with only one bath to share, while another full bathroom was downstairs. It was ok with us, and we really didn't mind, but some folks would probably prefer master bath not shared and 2nd bath for the other rooms.
Nice family vacation
Nice place with great view.
Good location in Lake City
My wife picked this house because if its close proximity to the Lake City Bakery, which is excellent! Comfortable home that fit our family of 5 well. Great communication with owner, would recommend the home.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it and had a good time. Keep us in mind for the future.
Great place to stay
Nice house, quiet neighborhood, great view from the front deck, nice fire pit in the back. All around great place to stay in Lake City
The Bear Bungalow is simply fantastic, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with the best views
Home is very well stocked with your everyday needs, spacious yard for outdoor activities and bbqing. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to next year.
We used it during our big game hunting season. My husband and I and our three kids, one spouse, one girlfriend and my husbands brother all stayed there on various days throughout the week. Easy to get to, parking for three to four vehicles. Beautiful view and the balcony had a gate so our dogs could be outside and contained when they just needed fresh air. We were there in November but a summer stay would really be great too!
Many streams and lakes for great fishing. Lake San Cristobal is the second largest natural lake in the state. Some of the best 4 wheeling in the state. Short walk to town. Approximately one half mile to start of Alpine Loop. ATV's may be ridden from cabin to beginning of loop. Be sure and comply with local regulations pertaining to ATV travel.
