|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
Come experience a more relaxed coastal vacation a little away from the beaten path at lovely, quiet Cape Meares. This house, with a spacious interior, amazing views of the ocean, and easy access to the near-deserted beach, is the perfect place to stay!
Located about 10-15 minutes northwest of Tillamook, Cape Meares has no restaurants or shops of its own, so stock up on groceries in town before you drive out to this peaceful community. While in Tillamook, be sure to stop at its famous cheese factory and get some fresh ice cream! With easy beach access about two blocks away, you can look to the south to see the beautiful Cape Meares Lighthouse, or take a long walk north on the beach along Bayocean Peninsula County Park, where you can enjoy the pristine, refreshingly chilly coastline without having to share it with others.
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home has ample space for four guests to spread out and enjoy the views of the ocean, which you can see from nearly every room. The living room is a fantastic place to sit, start a cozy fire in the pellet stove, and watch some cable TV or choose a DVD for a movie night.
A full, open kitchen has all the appliances and tools you may need to cook up a hot, filling breakfast to enjoy together before heading out for an early-morning walk on the beach. When it's time to head to bed, you have your choice between a serene blue-hued bedroom with an ocean-facing window and queen-size bed, and the master bedroom, which has a king-size bed and access to the deck.
Outside, a two-level deck is the best place to enjoy the spectacular view. Sit out here with a mug of coffee and listen to the gulls in the morning, or relax with a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sun set slowly past the ocean.
This home is spacious enough for two couples or a small family to enjoy a wonderful vacation together. The main coastal highway does not pass by Cape Meares, and Tillamook is 10 minutes away, so your visit will be extra quiet, serene, and restive.
Book now, and enjoy a fabulously peaceful vacation in this spacious home that has amazing views of the ocean!
Was a wonderful trip the view was amazing and had a great time on a couple of long walks on the beach!
We stayed here a 2nd time because of the views. They are amazing. It is a clean space with a nice kitchen if you like to cook while you stay. That is important to us. We understand that the owner will be updating appliances and furnishings soon. We are looking forward to trying them out next time. Just a heads up, there is drawer space in the master bedroom, but no closet space. There is a wardrobe with hanging space in the top half for shirts in the 2nd bedroom. Not detrimental, just nice to be prepared.
We arrived at This Cape Meares house and found it to be a fairly nice home,well stocked kitchen and with windows facing the ocean for a beautiful view.The one problem we had with this home was ,that being in December ,it was a cold week,where we actually were getting snow at sea level and the house took a little to warm up.The main heat of the home is a pellet stove that puts out good heat.The problem was they did not properly stock enough pellets and i had to make several calls to get them to bring pellets to the house.You would have thought that the property management would have had that covered much better,but outside of the pellets we truly enjoyed are stay.There is a big split level deck the whole length of the home on the ocean side,if you are here in the better weather months to enjoy.There is two bedrooms,the main bedroom has a nice bed for two,the smaller bedroom has a much smaller bed,but still possible for two to sleep,just not as roomy.Overall we enjoyed are stay and would stay again.
Great view and easy 5 minute walk to the beach! (Check local tide tables as the sand part of the beach can disappear during high tide).
Been to the Tillamook area before and knew about the famous cheese factory and the blimp hangers/museum, but never knew about the "ghost town" of "Bayocean" adjacent to this Vacasa rental! Interesting!
My wife, daughter and I found this great place and had a memorable long weekend. We enjoyed the stunning deck views, short walk to the beach, and the cozy feel of Cape Meares. This is not a "tourist trap" and is a great place to relax, stroll along the beach, and find some shells and agates. Wished we could have stayed a few more days!
