Overview

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 4

Come experience a more relaxed coastal vacation a little away from the beaten path at lovely, quiet Cape Meares. This house, with a spacious interior, amazing views of the ocean, and easy access to the near-deserted beach, is the perfect place to stay!

Located about 10-15 minutes northwest of Tillamook, Cape Meares has no restaurants or shops of its own, so stock up on groceries in town before you drive out to this peaceful community. While in Tillamook, be sure to stop at its famous cheese factory and get some fresh ice cream! With easy beach access about two blocks away, you can look to the south to see the beautiful Cape Meares Lighthouse, or take a long walk north on the beach along Bayocean Peninsula County Park, where you can enjoy the pristine, refreshingly chilly coastline without having to share it with others.

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home has ample space for four guests to spread out and enjoy the views of the ocean, which you can see from nearly every room. The living room is a fantastic place to sit, start a cozy fire in the pellet stove, and watch some cable TV or choose a DVD for a movie night.

A full, open kitchen has all the appliances and tools you may need to cook up a hot, filling breakfast to enjoy together before heading out for an early-morning walk on the beach. When it's time to head to bed, you have your choice between a serene blue-hued bedroom with an ocean-facing window and queen-size bed, and the master bedroom, which has a king-size bed and access to the deck.

Outside, a two-level deck is the best place to enjoy the spectacular view. Sit out here with a mug of coffee and listen to the gulls in the morning, or relax with a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sun set slowly past the ocean.

This home is spacious enough for two couples or a small family to enjoy a wonderful vacation together. The main coastal highway does not pass by Cape Meares, and Tillamook is 10 minutes away, so your visit will be extra quiet, serene, and restive.

Book now, and enjoy a fabulously peaceful vacation in this spacious home that has amazing views of the ocean!

Amazing views, can't be beat!

  • 4 of 5

The views and the privacy of the location far outweigh the maintenance issues in our minds. We were disappointed that the pellet stove did not get replaced that almost started a fire last time we were there. We tried it again this time and it is still not working correctly. If it may be cool in the mornings, you might want to bring a space heater as the other heat source is baseboard heaters which are very slow. The house is on the market so we understand the owners not wanting to put money into the place, but the pellet stove and the mattress for the bed in the master bedroom need to be replaced. They did replace the kitchen appliances and have a fully stocked kitchen, nice work space. Nice open space with flowing kitchen, dining and living area. To us, it is worth working around these inconveniences (although my husband isn't sure he can do the bed again). We have stayed there 3 times now - the view and location are that wonderful and we are very thankful to the owners for sharing it with us.

Beautiful view

House relies on electric baseboard heating -- not adequate on cold days. Pellet furnace had no instructions from owner, and no pellets.

Truly a place to Relax!

  • 4 of 5

Gorgeous View! Beautiful beach, not very crowded, kind of a remote location. Too bad the Lighthouse road was closed for the season, would love to have driven up there. Best part of our trip was eating meals at the table and looking out onto the ocean, rain or shine, hearing and seeing the ocean was breathtaking!

Beach House on a Hill

  • 5 of 5

Super cute small beach home up on a hill offering a spectacular view of not only the ocean and beach but also of the neighborhood, jetty, and neighboring town which lights up at night. Plenty of windows, sliding glass door, awesome deck and well stocked kitchen. Nice to be able to park in a garage when its rainy.

Absolutely Wonderful!!

  • 5 of 5

I am tempted to give a poor review so that it would be available when we want it. Lol! But it would be a lie. It was outstanding! Vacasa did it again. Never had a bad home from them yet. The home was clean, in great condition and comfortable. Everything worked. Beds were very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast. The kitchen well stocked with items needed. We had a hard time wanting to leave. I highly recommend not only this home but Vacasa as well! Great company with great homes. They made our vacation truly relaxing. Thank you!!!!
