Needed a relaxed few days after touring Georgia & South Carolina for 18 days. Stayed at Anne & Max's horse farm on way back to Orlando airport. Good suite with plenty of room and everything you could need. Quiet and peaceful with horses, dogs, peacocks and chicken to keep you amused and company. Anne & Max were great hosts, there if you needed and left you alone when it suited. Will stay again if in area
We love to hear the reviews of our overseas friends and hear how we compare with the rest of the world! Thank you for your thoughtful words!
Staying on a Farm!
The owners were very nice and friendly. I think they live in the next unit. They were very welcoming. It was very peaceful to sit out at the patio table at night and in the morning. The a/c worked wonderful. There were 2 TVs. The unit had everything - washer/dryer, dishwasher, blankets, paper towels, blow dryer, pots and pans - plenty of bath towels. They even had a basket with coffee and tea. Very thoughtful. I did not see any soap (but we brought soap) so no issue. The farm was not difficult to find. It had a kitchen, living room, big bedroom and bathroom with spa tub and a shower. I believe they have a pool - although we did not use it.
The only complaint I had is we upgraded our rental car and rented a very expensive car , to use during our visit. I am a dog lover and am fine with all types of dogs. They actually rescue dogs and had a foster. Very commendable and shows their true love of animals. Their dogs were very friendly and sweet, (ran over to greet us/welcome us) although they did jump on the car a couple times. I was very afraid they would damage it with their claws. Luckily no damage was done - the car we rented was black and very expensive - I would hate to have to pay for damage done by someone else's dogs.
That was the only negative, but it could have been a big deal and a real problem - if the rental car got damaged. Perhaps the visitor parking could somehow be closed off from the dogs? Not sure how it could be resolved.
We needed some time away from the city and this place was perfect. We relaxed, kayaked, visited horse farms, saw state parks and did I say RELAXED... Hosts were kind and available...their place was serene and calming.
Beautiful Florida Horse Farm!
Staying on a horse farm is a different side of Florida that most people never get to see. Florida is much more than beaches and theme parks. If you are adventurous and are willing to step off the beaten path, please stay at this beautiful farm. I am sad to say that we had to cut our visit here short. One of our dogs who is elderly and not in the best health took a turn on the first night, we had to rush him to an emergency hospital near our home. Happy to say that after a stay there at the hospital, he survived. The owners at the farm were very understanding and I do appreciate the kind consideration. I hope one day to have an opportunity to return under better circumstances and really have the time to relax and explore in this lovely, quiet, serene place. Thank you for everything!
The property is Beautiful! It has everything you might need and much more. There are many picture perfect settings in the farm. Just beautiful!
We really enjoyed our stay!
