Max or Anne Meinel purchased this farmhouse in 2010
Its gorgeous. Acres of fenced pasture and architect - designed site - with stable, garage, poolhouse, aviary, circular drive and landscaping. Easy access to Gainesville and Ocala.
Swimming pool, great shade under our huge 500 year old oaks, share our people friendly farm which includes horses, peacocks, cats, dogs, rabbit, and a chicken or two. Use of barbecue and patio table in the poolhouse shelter in view of the spectacular pool. Many photo ops.
We stayed at Tree Tales for 3 nights as a change of pace while moving from the beaches of th Atlantic to the beaches of the Gulf Coast. The apartment is as advertised - comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The setting amongst the horse farms was unique for us with miles of walkable bridal paths between the ranches. Max and Anne were great hosts, but the star of the show was Tristan, the Norweigan Fjiord pony. An unique and enjoyable stay.
This property is located in a beautiful horse community. The properties are all nicely kept and allows for long walks on quiet streets. Our hosts live on the property but we never felt we didn't have privacy and they were always pleasant and answered any questions we had. The unit is spacious and well kept. They do have roosters on the property that are quite vocal around 5:00am so if you are a light sleeper you may find this annoying after a few mornings. Overall I would highly recommend this property for those who love horses and want peace and quiet. It's also close to shops and Ocala attractions
The property was very well kept and quiet. Max was an excellent host. The unit was clean, up to date and very family friendly. My sons loved the animals!!! Beautiful area amongst the many horse farms. Highly recommend this property.
What a beautiful vacation! We have two little girls and the farm was their paradise. Horses, chickens, peacocks, dogs ... the girls were busy all day. The rental house was very cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Anne and Max were very nice and patient with our girls and all of their questions. I would recommand this place to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy a few days at a farm. Thank you!!!
Anne and Max are wonderful folks, so welcoming, totally opening their home to us. We had a minor faucet issue and with 5 women in 1 house, they even opened a bedroom and bath in their very own home for us. Their property was perfect for our show dogs that we had and they loved them. The horses were gorgeous too!! Thanks so much!
This little gem is nestled right in horse country. There is farm after farm of horses. This pleasant area of Ocala really makes you feel like you are somewhere outside of Florida and if you are a horse lover, you will feel right at home! The apartment is very well kept and the owners are just wonderful! So nice and helpful and always with a smile! Mornings and afternoons are great to sit on the porch and watch the changing sky. It's a short distance to the other main attractions in Ocala but my favorite was being able to stay on a farm with well kept horses! I can't wait to go back!
