Beautiful home, convenient location.

  • 5 of 5

The property is very nice. Plenty of room inside and out. Furnished with everything needed to be comfortable.

The weather did not co-operate as it was hotter than usual in all of Arizona.

We highly recommend this property.

Our favorite Flagstaff vacation home.

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at this lovely home in a very convenient but quiet scenic neighborhood. As with our prior stays, everywhere was very clean and extremely well stocked. Lovely views from the living room and a pleasant back patio and fenced yard which our dog loved. The massage chair is an absolute bonus. AJ is a pleasure to deal with and we look forward to our next visit next summer. Would highly recommend this rental.

PERFECT beautiful home right in flagstaff

  • 5 of 5

My family & I had such a great time on our vacation. This house was absolutely perfect!!! Anything you can possibly think of that you may need, is provided! The location was perfect as well. You're minutes away from gas stations, restaurants, Walmart, etc. The fenced in backyard was SO nice for my dogs. The fireplace was beautiful, plenty of channels on the tv including all my favorites. Not to mention the HUGE selection of dvd's!!! There were SO many movies to choose from. The massage chair was a HUGE hit for my family & I.

If you're looking for Relaxing, fun, clean, comfortable, pet friendly, location... Than this is the perfect house for you!!!

The owner AJ was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He responded quickly to any emails, walked me through all instructions as far as payment, directions, house rules, etc. Not to mention he totally saved us on our way to the house by towing our SUV when we got stuck going up hill (the roads were pure ice)!!!

Thank you AJ for everything!!! Already looking forward to our next trip up north!

Quiet but Still Close Enough to Everything Flagstaff has to Offer

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this home during the Thanksgiving holidays. It was conveniently located to everything - including Chandler/Phoenix for a day trip to see the family. We appreciated that the home was well-stocked with amenities for cooking, making coffee and using the washing machine and dryer. The living room had a lovely fireplace and a beautiful view of the local mountains. The weather was on the cold side so we were unable to take advantage of the outdoor space - but, would do so, if the next visit is during warmer weather.

Finally, I so appreciated that the owner was very responsive to any questions during the booking process and returned my deposit without me having to remind him.

Rambling Country Home in the Pines

  • 5 of 5

This is a superb property set on a hill above the East side of Flagstaff. The two of us stayed here for a month with our cat, Marni. She was ecstatic, racing up and down the hall and watching the wildlife from the windows. We had never taken her with us on vacation before and we were nervous. She whined all the way in the car but she was at home within minutes of our arrival. Which pretty much sums up the human experience also. There is a huge wrap-around couch in the Great Room facing the view of Mount Eldon and Mount Humphreys through the picture window. All the delights of Flagstaff and beyond are readily available. We went to Winslow, the Painted Desert, the Petrified Forest, the Grand Canyon, Red Mountain - all accessible for day trips or less. Then there is the amazing Flagstaff Urban Trail System or FUTS, which consists of numerous well-marked trails around town. Buffalo Park is well worth a visit for stunning views of the San Francisco Peaks and the trail which has exercise stations at strategic intervals.

We ate well, too, both at home and at excellent restaurants in town. The kitchen is well supplied and includes a wide range of spices and other goodies left by previous renters. For a special night out, eat in the Cottage Place restaurant. Expensive but worth it. We also liked Charly's in the Wetherford Hotel and Fat Olives which is near the property.

We had two sets of visitors up from Phoenix for short stays. Marni greeted them all enthusiastically and showed them round 'her' house. We sat outside on the comfy patio most evenings and ate there often. The BBQ is old and scarred but worked fine.

There are a few quirks. The dim lighting in the living room is fine for romantic evenings but not much good if you actually want to see anything, like a book. I counted 14 LED lights around the yard but only 2 worked, and I never did discover how to turn on the lights on the steps up from the road. The main plasma TV is HDTV capable but is wired with a composite cable so cannot display Hi-Def. The toaster popped up after only 30 seconds even on the highest setting so we donated a (cheap) new one. The trains rumbling through town woke us up some nights. However, these are minor flaws and did not detract from a great stay in a beautiful home.

Above all AJ, the owner, is extremely laid-back and helpful and smoothed our way to a lovely adventure in a cozy setting.

Beautiful backyard!

  • 4 of 5

The house was comfortable, and well stocked. The view of the mountains from the living room was gorgeous. We spent 90% of our time in the backyard enjoying the beautiful pine trees and private patio with TV. It was a very special place to retreat. Our three/year old grandson and dogs were delighted playing in the forest/like backyard. Washer and dryer need to be updated (very small capacity, and some cycles not working properly) and deep cleaning of carpets and kitchen would be a plus. The owners were turning the property around in just a few hours after our month/long stay, and we felt a bit pressured to leave. Consequently, we forgot to clean the grill, pick up some things in the back yard, and we left several things behind. The owner graciously agreed to mail them to us and deduct the charges from our security deposit, which has not been returned to us as of this date.
