The TURTLE TRACKS home got its name because year after year sea turtles come up near the back patio and lay their eggs in the sand. Observant guests may have the incredible experience of watching baby sea turtles emerge from the sand and scuttle off into the ocean under the moonlight!
This house is a premium beachfront property with spectacular ocean views from all main living areas, and from the master bedroom upstairs. It is a 3 bedroom/ 3 bath home that sleeps up to 10 guests very comfortably- all in real beds. (There is a 4th bedroom that is nicely decorated with 2 full beds but it's door is off another bedroom, so the house is being advertised as a 3-bedroom.)
An open floor plan makes this house very nice for large groups, and features unobstructed and close-up ocean views through large windows and sliding glass doors. The family room (with big, comfy, sectional sofa), the dining room, and the large kitchen are lined up along the back side of the house in one big living area, all with direct ocean views. A flat screen TV on articulating, full-motion mount lets you watch sports, weather, or movies from any of the 3 rooms. With an absence of dividing walls and plentiful granite bar-top areas between the rooms, nobody feels left out at this cozy ocean-front house where family and friends can reconnect.
This property also boasts the largest back patio (oceanfront) of all homes in the area! The HUGE concrete patio is 50' wide by 42' and steps right down onto the beach, very close to the water. No more hauling of fishing poles, surf boards, beach chairs, and small children will be necessary when you stay at this property at the water's edge. The mega-patio is very comfortable with a permanent shaded seating area for outdoor meals and gatherings. It's large enough for the kids to skateboard, set up a game of corn hole, wash off items and gear after the beach, barbecue with family and friends, entertaining, or just being outside and oceanfront without getting sandy, sunburned, or wet.
To access the beach simply use the stairs off the back deck onto the sand below. The ocean is just steps away, depending on whether it is high or low tide. : )
There are two master bedrooms; the one on the 2nd floor is over-sized with a king bed and sitting area, and a very large balcony overlooking the ocean with outdoor table and 4 chairs: Perfect for stargazing at night and dolphin viewing at sunrise! Be advised the mid-sized master bathroom (not small but not large) does not have its own AC vent so this bathroom door should remain open when not in use.
The other large master is located on the ground floor just off the kitchen, with a queen bed and sitting area. The AC in this bedroom is a window unit that works very well but you'll hear the internal fan turning on and off during operation. This master bathroom has a shower and toilet with nice travertine tile throughout, and is located on one side of hallway to the bedroom. The the vanity/sink is actually inset into the hallway directly across from the bathroom door, but as you can see in the photos it's all very nice.
A guest/kids bedroom is also on the ground floor with 2 sets of bunk beds (4 individual mattresses total), next to one of 3 full bathrooms in the home. Inside this bedroom is an Arcade Basketball Game where 2 people shoot small basketballs side by side and keep score; a VERY fun time for kids and adults, especially during rainy days or after hours.
In addition to the indoor basketball game there is a full-sized Foosball Table in the upstairs landing near the master bedroom. Once again, during a rainy afternoon or after dinner there's nothing quite like beer, wine, and foosball when it comes to spending quality time with friends and family.
Finally, although listed as a 3 bedroom house there is a 4th full-sized bedroom that is very nicely decorated, with 2 twin beds. However, THE DOOR TO THIS 4th BEDROOM IS DIRECTLY OFF THE UPSTAIRS MASTER BEDROOM. Therefore, it may be most suitable for use by children of the occupants staying in the upstairs master, because it requires access through the master bedroom.
In summary, this is one of only a few homes that are directly at water's edge and that is also very close to all the shops and restaurants on Flagler Avenue. (Building restrictions in town required most homes to be constructed behind large sand dunes, further from the water. The exception is miles away from town where construction was allowed at water's edge, but without the convenience of being so close to everything.) This property is beautiful inside, and the ocean views and sounds will be etched in your vacation memories. If the dolphin are swimming along shore, here you will see them. If your timing is very lucky and when turtles come up to nest, or the babies have hatched and are taking to the water to swim out to sea, it's an experience you'll never forget. This is a clean and well-decorated home that is user friendly for guests wanting to experience oceanfront living and all that comes with it; from sand castles to surf-casting, and of course those walks along on the beach at night under the stars. It's such an incredible experience being in a house like this and at a location like this, that unless you actually have such an experience you'll never know what you're missing!
