New Smyrna Beach Condo w/Ocean View By Flagler Ave

Great location right on the beach. Enjoyed the shuffleboard, and the putting green and pool. We were part of a family reunion of 16 people. Even though it was just my wife and I staying at the condo, we were easily able to accomodate our large family for three great meals. The owner responded immediately the couple times I had questions so that’s a big plus in my book!

Emailed and called emergency contact before and after never got a response to either one

After driving for 10 hours, I was not able to get into the condo as the code that I was provided did not work. After calling our contact person multiple times, I finally received a call back and she was able to provide the correct code. She also told me that she thought we had "fallen through the cracks" and that there was a possibility our room had not been cleaned. I went up to check and, yes, the beds were all a mess and dirty towels everywhere and the living was all a mess. Our contact wasn't too excited and said she could probably get someone out there the next day. I guess we were supposed to just stay in a dirty condo that we had already paid for. After numerous conversations, I was able to get her to get a cleaning person out that night. Not a good first impression experience! I never heard from her again during the remainder of our stay. We also were able to access the patio from the master bedroom as the sliding door was broken. We also noticed ants in the kitchen and, fortunately, had made friends with some of the locals that lived at this property who were able to get the property manager to send out their exterminator for no charge. Overall, property was nice but did not have a good experience with this particular unit.

Lovely condo; very convenient location. An awesome sunrise ocean view every morning, long beach walks or bike rides, and a nicely maintained pool. Flagler Ave. is a short walk away, with nice shops and restaurants. Day trips to Kennedy Space Center and St. Augustine made it a great vacation spot. The unit was comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated and very clean.

Suggestions for improvement:

1.) Non-refundable damage deposit: unnecessary/unfounded/unfair charge!

2.) The Wi-fi service was poor. It was so slow and inconsistent, it was

to the point of being unusable. Quite inconvenient.

3.) Beach towels were provided, but required to be washed and dried prior to departure. The unit does not have laundry facilities, which made this inconvenient.

We spent four weeks in this condo. We found it very well equipped and clean. The location is perfect for walking and biking. Neighbours are wonderful. Very quiet, clean and secure building. Would stay again.
