Great time with family and friends
Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We had a great time!
We're glad to hear you and your family enjoyed your stay. We hope to be able to host you again.
We spend one week in Agate Bay every year. This was the most comfortable and beautiful home we have stayed in, so far. The furnishings, beds and linens are all new and high quality.
The only reason I am not leaving 5 stars is because we really missed outdoor patio furniture, a gas grill and some essentials in the kitchen. However, everything else was lovely and we will definitely rent again.
We had a few questions and the staff at Rentlever were quick to respond and very helpful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback on the home. We really enjoyed hosting you.
Please let us know if there was anything further we could have done to improve your stay.
Great house...need some improvements
This was a great house for our extended family of 10. There were a couple of downsides. We arrived at checkin time and the home was not ready. The house cleaners explained that the previous renters had left the space a mess. I certainly could agree with them as there were bags of garbage spilling out of the 'bear' bin and more bags on the driveway. Incidentally, this meant we had no place to put garbage until the pickup which was Tuesday or Wednesday (we arrived on a Saturday). In any case, we went down to the community pool to wait a bit while they finished up.
It turns out the rental agency (rentlever) or the owners had not notified the HOA of our arrival. We were denied entry to the pool area. So back to the house where the cleaners were finishing up. We eventually got in to the house a little before 5.
At that point, we called rentlever to get information to the HOA so we could have access to the community pool. They seemed relatively clueless but said they would get on it. We eventually got things straightened out around 4 on Sunday so all of us including the grandkids could use the pool. We basically got pool access due to the merciful intervention of the HOA manager. Don't know if rentlever ever got things together. It turns out that the owner (or rep) must notify the HOA ahead of time with a list of tenants so that the HOA can sign them up.
As I said earlier. It's a great house. We understood from a neighbor that the house had recently sold so I think (I hope) new owners had just not had time to get things together. There is a lovely deck out back...but...no chairs, no tables, no barbecue...just a bare deck that is relatively useless. The kitchen is a recent remodel...lovely. But there is very little equipment for cooking...plates were put in drawers...no glasses other than wine glasses and coffee mugs. We actually went out and bought some items so we could cook (and left them behind). I would guess half of the 20 drawers in the kitchen were empty.
I only hope that the owners or the rental agency get things together. As I said earlier, it's a great house...just needs some further equipping and an understanding of the HOA requirements.
Thanks so much for reaching out with your feedback. We are so sorry to hear about the issues with the HOA and have taken steps to prevent this from happening to the next guest.
We will definitely be forwarding you suggestions to the owner as it is very important that we improve the stay of future guests.
Please let us know if there was anything further we could have done to provide a more pleasant stay.
A nice house for a family gathering
We rented this house with two other families during our kids winter break (Feb 17 - 24th). The house was the perfect size for our group and we enjoyed having the pool table as an option. We did find that the kitchen lacked some basic items that we would have expected based on staying at other rental homes. Items missing were measuring cups, water glasses (or really any other cups other than coffee cups and wine glasses), blender. While these items did not take away from our enjoyment these were just annoyances and items we have come to expect. My only other complaint was not being able to watch the Olympics as the house does not have cable which I know was in the description but it didn't occur to me that local programming such as the Olympics would not be viewable just something to be aware of if you are renting the house during a major sporting event.
Thank you for staying with us. Glad that you enjoy your stay and the home. Unfortunately local over air tv signal in the area is not very good. Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate. Hope to host you again in the future.
Cozy and comfy
Everything was pretty much as we expected it. The place is very well decorated and the bed linens are plush. Can't really fit a larger family (10+) around one table, or seat them all in the living room or game room (which could use another chair or two), but there's enough room to spread out, if you're OK with that. The kitchen utinsels are minimal and there wasn't much dishwashing soap, so if you're planning on cooking a lot you should plan accordingly. Fortunately the kitchen and fridge are good sized. The checkout instructions inferred there was a hot-tub, but there isn't; just a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. I suspect the management company thought it was offering superior service by sending us daily emails before our stay, but personally i found it annoying. Nice centralized location on the North shore in a quiet neighborhood. Not sure if the basketball hoop was ours or the neighbor's, but our group appreciated it. We'd definitely book it again.
Beautiful Home- CLEAN!, Relaxing, Well Stocked, and Great for Multiple Families
My family and my sister's family enjoyed a fun and relaxing weekend at this wonderful home with our adult, and semi-adult children, and two of their friends (four 17, one 19, and two 22 year-olds). The house is impeccably clean (and I have HIGH standards); and the beds, linens (also clean and fresh), and pillows were top notch and comfortable. Additionally, the kitchen is spotless and fully stocked (dishes, cutlery, glassware, cookware, etc.) with everything you could ever wish for. The appliances are new and high end.
There was plenty of space for all of us to stretch out, or retreat for some private time; but communal areas like the entertainment room upstairs, to gather, play, and visit. Our kids loved playing pool and they brought their Xbox to hook up to the large large TV. The living room downstairs was a great place to gather round the fire, drink hot coco, and visit without the distraction of a TV.
To sum it up- The PERFECT home, for a PERFECT weekend. We highly recommend this home to anyone who needs to get away from it all and reconnect with your family; but be close enough to everything (Kings Beach, Northstar, or Truckee), to venture out.
You will be delighted.
Hi Toni - Thank you so much! We are very happy that your family and your sister's family had a great time! We hope that you all will come back and visit us again soon.
