Great house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We really loved our stay in St Ives. Hated to leave this lovely house in a lovely setting. We trained to St Erth from London and used cabs and

walked around. The house was well fitted and had everything we needed for a few great days in Cornwall.

Great location and stunning views! Perfect family holiday home.

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived at Nautique, we were thrilled that the home and aspect was even better than the pictures. We stayed 3 days (much too short) with our daughter, son-in-law and their young son and baby. The bedrooms are very spacious and so nice to have good sized bathrooms! It was clean and very well equipped.

The location couldn't have been better. Far enough out of St Ives to avoid the crowds, yet close enough to walk along the beautiful coastal path. This made for a very peaceful getaway. The Carbis Bay beach was even closer. We would definitely return and highly recommend Nautique. Claire was very responsive and easy to reach. It's clear that she loves and takes great pride in the home and ensures that it is in great condition for her guests. Thank you Claire! We made some great memories during our short stay.

Perfect location for a family holiday

  • 5 of 5

The house has a gorgeous view, is very quiet and set in a great location. We liked being able to walk into St Ives and down to the beach. 5 mins walk to Tesco was also handy for a family.

Pleasant house but very damp

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this property and the facilities were good. It is in a good location with beautiful views and a lovely coastal walk. The only problem was the damp so that our clothes felt damp in the mornings and the towels never dried.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for taking the time to review the house, we’re only sorry that you didn’t mention the damp issue to us at the time of your stay or in our email communication afterwards. We would have suggested putting the heating on to dry out towels on the heated towel rails in the bathrooms. As we are right on the coast the house is exposed to damp sea air but we will of course now be checking there are no serious damp issues, as no guests have ever mentioned this before.

Perfect holiday home in the perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Nautique is the perfect family holiday home in the perfect location. Tucked away from the main road along a secluded track this really is a hidden gem. With incredible views straight out to the Atlantic, staying at Nautique is like living on a boat but with all the comforts of being on land.

Inside the house the owners have thought of everything to ensure a happy family holiday. A comfortable sitting room with great sofas, cosy fire, widescreen telly and incredible ocean views. There’s also an upper mezzanine level with a piano, table and play area – ideal for the little ones to spread out. The kitchen has everything a serious cook could need as well as great views for the washer-upper! The two large double bedrooms and great bunk room provide perfect accommodation for two families. Worth noting are the very good quality mattresses (unusual for a holiday home). Also lovely touches like under floor heating in the hallway to ensure your beach gear and boots dry out – essential on any English holiday!

Nautique is perfectly situated between two heavenly beaches – Carbis Bay to the South and Porthminster to the North. Both are a short walk away along the coastal path - ideal for daytime dips and evening strolls. The walk past Porthminster takes you into St Ives, just ten minutes away, with all its delightful shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes and even more beaches.

We loved our stay and will definitely book again.

Location

Nearest Train
3 Kilometres
St Erth (main line to Penzance)
Nearest Beach
300 Metres
Carbis Bay Beach
Car: not necessary

This part of Cornwall is one of the most magical locations you will ever find; including some of Europe's best beaches, the UK's finest eating spots, great local produce and all the beauty nature can muster.

Nautique sits neatly above the sheltered and sandy blue flag accredited Carbis Bay beach - never over-crowded and a perfect family playground, just minutes from the house. With the supermarket a 3 min walk away and Porthminster beach, St Ives and the Tate just 10 min down the coastal path you really don't need to get in the car. But if you want to explore Penzance, St Michael’s Mount, Newlyn and Mousehole, Lands End, Sennan Cove, Porthcurno, Minnack Theatre, Eden Project and the Lizard are all nearby.

The surrounding area is amazing; mile upon mile of stunning white sand surfing beaches, crystal clear waters, breathtaking coastal and country walks, art galleries, open air theatres, superb pubs, cafes and restaurants, beautiful gardens and even the odd cider farm or theme park.

Other Activities: kite surfing
