About Pat Parish

My husband Bill, and I bought the beach house in 2004. After visiting the area for over 30 years . We looked for quite some time until we found this little jewel. My husband grew up in Sarasota, Florida, and wanted to get back to his Florida roots. We currently live in the mountains of Western North Carolina and hope to one day retire to St. Augustine Beach!! Life's a beach!!!

Pat Parish purchased this cottage in 2004

Why Pat Parish chose St. Augustine Area

We visited the area for over 30 years prior to buying the cottage......Great beaches, antiques stores, good bike and walking trails, good music in the Summer at the pier and wonderful restaurants. We love riding our bikes into the historic district and looking at all the old houses. Which takes about 30 minutes by bike or 10 minutes by car.

What makes this cottage unique

We fell in love with our home because of the way it sits back in the trees and is really pretty private. It's the 3rd house from the end, on a dead end street. We love to sit on the swing on the front porch!

Fabulous little getaway

  • 5 of 5

My sister, her two daughters and I truly enjoyed staying in this cute and comfortable little beach house. There was not anything that was lacking in the kitchen, with utensils and cleaning supplies; the bathrooms, plenty of towels; or the bedrooms, with fresh linens. The house was so very clean and decorated beautifully. It is only a short, easy walk to the beach. Lots of nice restaurants are close by; and be sure to check out the Farmers Market at the pier on Wednesday mornings if you plan on cooking in the house. We had a wonderful, relaxing week. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Dog days at the beach!!

  • 4 of 5

Our small family and dog stayed for a long weekend this April and really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and short drive to everything else. Loved the ease of 2 full baths and separate bedrooms.

I would recommend adding beach chairs for renters and look into some electrical oddities in the kitchen and laundry room. Lights flicker and turn off at will.

Enjoyed the city and sights - We'll be back.

cute cottage close to great beach

  • 4 of 5

Very cute cottage within walking distance to beach, ice--cream shops, & restaurants. The owner responded quickly with any questions. The only problems were a fussy toilet, trash can covers didn't fit well & an animal including a dead rodent had spread some trash & it was kind of hard to get access to the key. I would stay again.

Owner's Response: We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our beach cottage and are very sorry that you had problems. The trash situation is tricky and we are trying to work that out with new trash cans that have better fitting lids. Not sure about your problem with the lock box, it's usually very easy to open, perhaps you've never used one and my instructions to open it need tweeking. I'll review my instructions and see if I can make them easier to understand and more user friendly.
