Deluxe Double Room
Appearances are not everything
As our room was small (Cheltenham) with limited seating we would have liked to relax in the lounge area before going out to eat but this was locked at 5.00pm. Looking at previous reviews at some point during the past eighteen months the hotel had stopped providing restaurant and bar facilities, Whilst the spread for the continental breakfast was extensive it was let down by the lack of fresh artisan bread (proprietary sliced white & wholemeal only), cherry tomatoes that were rancid and inedible, and continental pastries that weren't fresh on the day. Sometimes less is more!
The shower ran very hot but no working cold water mixing option.
In fairness we did not complain...... we only stayed one night and staff were thin on the ground
The hotel sports a nice mix between contemporary and classic design. It is very clean, with the lovely touches only a boutique hotel could offer. It is well located with good parking.
Thank you very much for the kind review, we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you again soon
We had a lovely overnight stay in this comfortable unique hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with special touches. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.
Hi P&P, many thanks for the great review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Please don't forget to leave a review on tripadvisor so other guests can also see what a good time you had. See you again soon
Dont book a Deluxe room unless you want small!
We were very disappointed in our room and the bed wa snot comfortable, we were one of about 4 couples to stay that evening. WHen we checked out the lovely Receptionist asked how the stay was I said we wer disappointed in the room, she said that usually they would try and upgrade on the day if not busy, and not to let it put us off, it would have been nice to have been offered an upgrade as £116 was too ,ich money for THAT room it was more like £85! I also mentioned the wet room problem, once you have had a shower and want to revisit to spend a penny the floor is swimming and even came onto the carpet! Breakfast was very nice but I hadn't even finished my cereal and neither had my partner and the plate arrived so I had to put the cereal to one side, surely they should watch the guests and see when they may be ready for there breakfast instead of dumping it down regardless. We were also only offered one coffee at breakfast, and I don't see why we should have to ask it is the little thing she that matter. I felt it was a total waste of money when we. Old have stayed elsewhere for less and had a better room.
Hi ? many thanks for your review and your points have been noted. We show all images of our rooms including ALL our deluxe double rooms, the one thing we do not do here is hide anything. The room rate compared to our larger rooms at £180 is shown in the reduction for the smaller rooms. Your other notes have been taking down and will be used in our next training schedule.
Very good but not perfect.
Lovely interior to the hotel. The room was very nice but was let down by breakfast. Was not on par with the price of the room which we paid £148. Premier inn do a better quality breakfast for half the price. Would stay again if breakfast was improved.
Hi Andy, thank you for your comments. Premier in do buffet food which is 50/50 on if you get a good one or not, all ours is cooked fresh to order and caters for 11 rooms, if we had a 100 rooms like the premier and want to buy guests to stay we could do offers like them but we are a family run hotel trying our best. Our breakfast receives many good comments and for now will not be changing.
Beautifully presented hotel
Very pleasant stay in very friendly hotel. Beautifully decorated and exceptional clean and fresh. Will definitely be coming back.
