Rent by the month or longer. The condo is a complete ADA remodel by us - new to the market the Summer of 2013. The large loft is a 'barrier-free' clean, bright and airy private retreat, bamboo floors and new furnishings in a Mid-century style - located in the comfortable and welcoming University neighborhood of Missoula.
For our guests we provide a free laundry service for bed linens and towels weekly with Missoula Textiles.
The heat-recovery-ventilation (HRV) system provides constant fresh air gently circulating throughout - the result is warmth in winter, cool temps in summer - a restful home for visiting in Missoula. We have an elevator to the 4th the top floor, secure underground dedicated parking and quiet friendly living for ages 62 plus (by association covenant).
The one-bedroom and bathroom suite is large w/ walk-in shower, two XL twin upholstered beds, custom built armoire. The spacious kimona-silk tiled bathroom has custom cabinets and wardrobe.
Shoji screen panels, custom manufactured by Cherry Tree Designs of Bozeman soften and amplify the interior space. Selection of furnishings and colors has been accomplished with Hunting and Gathering for the Home of Missoula and with great finds of re-purposed furnishings from local antique stores.
We are minutes away, about a 5 minute walk, to the friendly Hip Strip restaurant, bakery and shopping area on Higgins Avenue - and immediate to the Grizzly Adam's Center and Stadium for football; The University campus for live theater, concerts, music recitals, lectures and Life-long learning continuing education classes.
Around the corner on Higgins Avenue you access the Mountain Line bus system, easily stroll to shopping, the river trail system and the downtown Farmer' Markets (April through October). Cafe Dolce, The Buttercup Market and Cafe on Helen Avenue, The famous Top Hat Bar downtown, Caras Park on the riverfront, theatre, films and concerts in the park.
We have hosted and managed The Bungalow VRBO vacation rental in the Lower Rattlesnake since 2007 with top-star reviews - love meeting the guests and with many have become great friends. We depend on the social and cultural activities of downtown Missoula and the University Campus. We love to walk, ride bicycles and use our Honda Civic as little as possible. A nearby grocery, public library, bus system, local bakeries and coffee shops very nearby, restaurants and farmer's markets make this locale and community as fine as can be found anywhere for active retirement living.
Location is paramount, particularly for people who come to Missoula on scouting trips - checking out neighborhoods and city life as a possible and new community for their retirement and for family connections.
The complex is a healthy living community for seniors who are active and up to independent living - many with active lives within the nearby geography of downtown Missoula and on the University of Montana campus.
We stayed three months at this wonderful condo in Missoula. The location is perfect for walking downtown, to campus, or to the river trails. The apartment itself is light and airy and beautifully decorated. We loved the view from the fourth floor. Everything we needed in the kitchen and good wifi. Laundry downstairs. This is a great place, and if we were ever to return to Missoula, this is exactly where I would want to stay again.
The condo was just what we were hoping for. We are avid walkers and it is situated in the perfect place to explore and enjoy the city on foot. Lots to see and do in Missoula!
The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed to feel comfortable and set up housekeeping from day one. The high speed internet was perfect for our daily technology usage. When the temperatures rose we really appreciated the great air conditioning system. The nice selection of Montana-centered photographic and fiction books Lane provided was fun and gave us a taste of the area and its history. We also took advantage of the honor system book exchange available in the laundry area. It provided an additional reading resource for the many times we relaxed, sitting on the deck, which has a great view. We already look forward to returning next summer!
Though we did not stay in this condo because of the age limitation, we were able to tour it in hopes to rent it next year or later. The pictures really don't do it justice. The rooms are very spacious and well-integrated, with a modern, clean vibe. The kitchen is gorgeous and well-stocked, and the lighting throughout is great for mood lighting, entertaining and reading. The bedroom is much larger than it appears in the pictures. Very soothing and relaxing palette. The location is wonderful, particularly if you're a walker or bicyclist and want to have access to excellent restaurants, downtown and the University. The balcony facing the mountains? A+! There's even a storage area for your bike, hiking and fishing gear. The elevator makes shopping easy. Really a gem.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to find this condo and have spent the last 3 1/2 months LOVING Missoula. My job brought us here for the summer and we had little to no expectations. Were we WRONG or what. Our beautiful condo was located right in the middle of the University District and every fabulous restaurant within walking distance. We have enjoyed the Bridge (pizza right around conner), Caffe Dolce (great Italian), all of Downtown and the beautiful river walk. Thank you Lane & Linda for making your amazing condo our home away from home this summer.
We enjoyed our stay at this condo tremendously and especially enjoyed the hospitality and helpfulness of the owners. Would highly recommend staying here again. The Condo is centrally located to everything. The place was exactly as described and pictured in advertisement, and was well maintained and exceptionally clean.
This place was perfect for us. Clean, beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. We were able to easily enjoy meals here with friends and family who live in Missoula, and we really enjoyed the great view of Mount Sentinel from the balcony. Within easy walking distance of UM campus and downtown. We would definitely be interested in a return visit.
We are minutes by walking to the University campus, to the Clark Fork River trails and park system, and to downtown Missoula via Higgins Avenue, the public library - on the edge of the Restaurant and shopping district known as the Hip Strip - a collection of shops, bakeries, theaters, night clubs, Met Opera in HD at the Roxy (MorrisProductions.org), restaurants and churches and the Missoula Senior Center on Higgins Avenue.
