We built this home in 2010. It is on a slab with in floor heat. Mostly wood interior walls and ceiling with custom Hickory cabinets. Our son lived here for three years and since then has moved. This is a special place to us and we want to share with you. If you enjoy quiet settings, this place is for you. You can travel 10 miles north or south to Cumberland or Shell Lake/Spooner area. The view all year around is beautiful. Green trees in the spring/summer and in the fall the colors are unbelievable.
Kathy Sirek purchased this house in 2010
We stayed at this cabin In February 2016 for a Thursday-Sunday and loved it!!! We were so close to the snowmobile trails and local spots. And we were able to bring our dogs too so that was a plus for us!!! The pictures online don't do this cabin justice! Cozy, cute, and had all the amenities you could need!! Highly recommend it and Kathy and Andy were great to work with, with fast responses and answering all of our questions! We can't wait to book our next trip to Barronett!
This was our second time staying at this beautiful place. It's quiet and cozy with beautiful land to hike around, even in the winter. The fireplace and the log-cabin feel are perfect for cold winter nights and is quickly becoming a regular spot for us! We recommend this for any season.
Perfect getaway if you live in the big city and need some peace and quiet.
Just two of us for New Years. Stayed for four nights - went on walks (bring snow pants in winter), enjoyed card and board games, cooked delicious steaks on the grill. The cabin is clean, warm, and in a great wooded area with easy access to nearby grocery store/gas stations. Owners were easy accessible prior to our stay to answer questions and provide additional directions.
Would go again in a heart beat. A+
From the moment we arrived, we fell in love. The property and the cabin itself were impeccable and clean, well cared for and updated all around. There were ample dishes, cooking appliances and leftover spices and cooking tools in the pantry, as well as games and other amenities that made the cabin feel more like a home than a rental space. It was too cold for a fire outside, but there is a fire pit and wood and plenty of seating options outside, plus a gas stove inside to warm you. The land is secluded and we felt very isolated, which was what we wanted, but there are several little towns within minutes that were charming and fun to visit. We saw dear and all manner of birds. Overall a great experience. We'll definitely be back.
My husband and I and our 5 year old stayed at this place for the weekend and we've officially made it our getaway destination for years to come. Set on a beautiful pond with hiking trails, a fire pit and away from the craziness of a big city, this was exactly what we were looking for! The restaurants in Barronett are delicious as well! Such a pleasant weekend. I recommend it for a couples getaway or small family getaway in any season!
We needed a couple days of peace and quite, to do what ever we wanted and we got everything we wanted and more. The property was nice and comfortable. Only 3 years old and very well constructed. Each day we enjoyed new wild life we had not seen the day before. The highlight was the day we were preparing to leave, a young, 4 point, white tail buck came through the yard and stopped to munch on some acorns before proceeding on. One day we had lunch in near by Cumberland and got to experience a local hamburger with Rutabaga fries! They were interesting and a pleasant change. I would recommend this property to everyone.
