We built this home in 2010. It is on a slab with in floor heat. Mostly wood interior walls and ceiling with custom Hickory cabinets. Our son lived here for three years and since then has moved. This is a special place to us and we want to share with you. If you enjoy quiet settings, this place is for you. You can travel 10 miles north or south to Cumberland or Shell Lake/Spooner area. The view all year around is beautiful. Green trees in the spring/summer and in the fall the colors are unbelievable.

everything you need but could have been clearer on what cleaning required at checkout.
This is a wonderful cabin, serene surroundings, wonderful hosts, lovely quaint towns nearby. Everything we wanted. Stayed middle of February with excellent weather for hiking, fires and board games. We were surprised that this cabin is the only one on this albeit small lake and it truly makes your stay so very nice! Quite a rarity!
Thank you to Kathy ! We would love to repeat our stay!
I stayed here with my 10 year old and husband in February. The cabin is cozy and very well made. We noted that . . . excellent craftsmanship! The place was warm, the sleeping couch was comfortable and so was the bed. The cupboards had everything we needed to prepare meals and make ourselves at home. Having recently stayed at a "commercial" inn that didn't even provide coffee filters, it was nice to have access to basic necessities that you don't think about bringing - like foil, oven mitts, spices, cooking oil, towels, salt and pepper - and coffee filters!
On Friday we looked out the side window (toward the storage shed) and saw two young deer eating in the woods. It was wonderful being able to hang out and watch them. We did a lot of nothing and enjoyed every minute of it. On Saturday, we got out and about a bit later and ended up eating at the Corner Bar and Restaurant. The pizza was great. We stopped at the 20-Mile Organic general Store on our way back, and had some of the best frozen custard I've ever eaten.
We enjoyed our stay here! Thanks much.
This is the most amazing little cabin. I have stayed in a lot of north woods cabins over the years and this is by far one of the nicest. The cabin was super clean and looked brand new. The in floor heat was amazing. Our English bulldog was welcomed in to the home and loved ever second of it. The day we packed up he had to be carried to the truck as he just planted his feet and didst want to leave.
Make sure you eat at Bistro 63. What an amazing surprise in this little town. The most amazing high end food. Red Brick Cafe for breakfast was also great. Good home cooking and large portions.
Kathy and Andy were extremely responsive when we had questions about where to eat an other things to do. We will absolutely be back.

I highly recommend this beautiful home. It was the right spot for us as we were looking for a safe, quiet, cozy, clean cabin on a lake in the country yet close to good restaurants. This spot exceeded all the requirements! You could tell the owners went the extra steps to create a warm and relaxing get-away from the beautiful decorating to all the comforts of home which they included. We look forward to returning next year!
The goal of our weekend was to do absolutely nothing. I could not have dreamed up a better place to do just that. It was quiet, remote, and yet not far from home. Only an hour and a half from the cities make this secluded getaway an idea location for the weekend. The best part was how new everything was. Clean, neat and modern makes for a stress-free vacation. The pictures online do the front porch no justice. the view of the lake with the fall colors taking over, was breathtaking. We spent more time out on the porch then an where else in the house. If this seems like your vacation type to recharge your batteries, then this is the place you have been looking for.
