Clean modern room
Great hotel in a wonderful location. Close to public transport, food and shops. Room was clean and comfortable to stay in. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Room came with a mobile phone that had wifi and could make local calls. I took this out with me everyday and was a life saver as I used it for maps and looking up information quickly.
Well located and clean
It was a pleasure staying at Mowbray Court. The rooms and facilities were all modern and maintained to a high standard. Although the rooms are on the small side (I stayed in a single room), they are well designed so they feel compact rather than cramped. Staff were also extremely helpful and promptly answered any queries I had before and during my stay. Would definitely stay again as it's a convenient base for exploring London both locally on foot and using the tube (Piccadilly and District lines run from Earls Court).
Great hotel that does the basics very well. Room was small but functional - had everything I needed. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy but more than adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to Underground, shops, restaurants and an easy walk to Kensington.
Recently refurbished and close to tube
The hotel seems to have been refurbished recently in an understated contemporary style, which I liked. It is located to the side of Earls Court tube station - easy to reach with luggage - and just off Earls Court Road - with a selection of shops and places to eat. Despite this its actual location and the room were quite. The single room was small, but clean, and well presented. The shower room was big enough for one and the shower itself was good. A light breakfast was included. Free bottled water was available in the reception and the room, which was a nice touch.
This could be a great little hotel, perfect location, helpful staff, nice breakfast, tiny but comfortable rooms, except that the room that I had was infested with bed bugs A05, in the annex. The hotel has totally denied the fact, but hotel goer beware. I was there for 7 nights, bites started to appear after the second night, but attributed them to mosquitoes or spiders. By the 7th night and I was on my way home, I was convinced that I had hives. When I got home my doctor diagnosed bedbugs. I was suspicious from the beginning, the sheets have old dried blood drops on them. They also changed the sheets every day, and comforter cover, this is never done in a budget hotel for someone staying a week.
The photos I've added were taken after I'd been home for 3 days, so you can imagine they were much worse. They start out as clusters of red bumps, in exposed parts of your body,(where you weren't wearing clothes). As you scratch, they become inflamed and the bites join together, thus giving the look of hives. Hives don't come in little clumps like this, with single hives sprinkled over your body. They are incredibly itchy and the bruises are from me scratching myself incessantly. Now I am terrified that I have brought them home in my luggage. There is no space in the hotel room for clothes, so my items had to be stored on the floor of the cupboard.
