Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday apartment in Rione XXII Prati - Valle Apartment! Elevator+Wifi

3 Double Bedrooms, 2 Baths

A spacious and comfortableb apartment located in an elegant ‘19th century building with elevator at Via Pietro della Valle 2, just in front of Sant’Angelo Castle, walking distance from St. Peter Cathedral and Vatican Museum, and, just crossing the bridge, few steps from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. From there the most important historical sights of the Eternal City can be reached with a short walk.

If you visited some website’s map and inserted the address you could have the correct idea about its excellent location.

Of course, since that’s a delightful very central neighborhood, it has a good connection with public transportation to go everywhere and it is well served by a variety of local cafes, good restaurants, supermarkets, and delicatessens / convenience stores. There is a welcoming Italian café for breakfast or lunch only a few steps from the building. For those who relish cooking, a large fresh produce market (Via Cola di Rienzo) is a leisurely 5 minute walk away.

for runners: you can run at saint angel castle park or near the tiber.

for families: just inside the castle you have a lovely playground for your children if you want to relax with them!

we can also organize tours (you are welcomed to ask as you book the apartment, and book a tour before your arrival. it is hard to book at arrival since my American guide is very busy!)

The apartment was recently completely renovated. Everything is new, neat and tide and, as you can see from the pics, it’s very fine modern, high quality furnished. It consists of 3 double queen size bedrooms, a living room with a very comfortable double sofa-queen size-bed, 2 bathrooms: the first with tube/shower, the second with shower.

The fully kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee-/espresso machine, gas stove with oven, fridge/freezer unit, hot water boiler, coffee maker as well as all the other necessary appliances.

pc available with printer

The apartment has air conditioning in all the rooms (total 5 - daikin mini splits, great quality and functioning), parquet, washing machine, dishwasher. oven, 5 LCD TV/Sat international channels. ADSL & Wi-Fi internet connection keeps you in touch with the world.

That’s place is very quiet and safe at night too. An ideal residence for larger groups from 4 to 9.

The treatment's friendly and helpful and I’m always trying to make good my guests. If you wanted to know some more about, you could read the feedback by the previous guests stayed in my apartments.

I welcome your inquiries and questions and will respond within one business day.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Wow we were absolutely stunned about this place!!! Absolutely gorgeous and the location was amazing!!!! We unfortunately were unable to meet Silvio. It was not his fault though. We were late to our arrival because of a marathon and could not take a taxi or bus from the train station. So we had to take the metro. It took us close but by the time we finally arrived we were an hour late. Fortunately Silvio had a representative meet us that took care of everything and was very helpful. If I am ever back in Rome I am definitely staying here again!!!ù

Great location! Big, clean...perfect!

This villa was perfect!

This was our first trip to Rome ...and hopefully not our last. We picked this villa because the pictures made it look fantastic ...and it was! I've traveled extensively in Europe and I'm used to smaller rooms and beds, and fewer features. On this trip I traveled with my three adult kids, my wife and we had plenty of room for all of us. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean and updated with AC, wifi and nice furniture, etc.

This home had everything we needed. It was in a quite residential area but within easy walking distance to all the most popular sites; the Vatican, the Colosseum, The Forum. Within 3 blocks of the home we had access to a local PAM grocery store, and five to six great little restaurants. And it was quite...and peaceful...no honking horns at night!

Silvio helped arrange car service from the airport to the home when we arrived Monday morning from the US. That was a great way to start off our trip.

We loved the apartment and the location!

Very nice apartment at a good location

  • 5 of 5

Family of four plus grandmother took to this three bedroom apartment. It was very nice and just as advertised.

Location was also very good - near to the Vatican and Castel d'Angelo. Great restaurants just outside.

Big plus for the communication with Silvio. Quick and positive communication. I would recommend this place and would return.

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

We spent two nights in late June 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location is excellent - walking distance to the Vatican and most of the sites. The apartment was very quiet despite its location.

The property is recently renovated and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped which allowed us to eat most meals inside. We appreciated having the washer and drier. The air conditioning worked great. Silvio (the owner) was very helpful and responded promptly to all questions prior to and during our visit.

If you are renting a car while in Rome, keep in mind there are restrictions on where you can drive without incurring a penalty. The apartment is located just outside the "ZTL" zone which is very important.

You can park on the street but make sure you are aware of the rules - workday parking fees versus non-workday, etc. Also be sure sure to leave NOTHING in your vehicle. Not a thing. We left empty cardboard boxes in our van overnight and woke up to find the window broken and the cardboard boxes torn into. When the thieves found nothing they left them, but it made for a major hassle. I don't think there is a place in the city that would be safe from such incidents so I do not hold Silvio responsible. Lesson learned - even boxes should be taken inside.

In summary, really enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

Beautiful and modern with an amazing location

  • 5 of 5

Silvio provided us with an amazing place for our 4 night visit to Rome. He arranged for a driver to meet us at the train station and had a lovely assistant escort us through his rental, thoroughly explaining all important details of the apartment. His rental was clean, with comfortable furniture and beds and a well stocked kitchen and laundry facilities. The rental is in close proximity to the Vatican City and was in a safe and quiet neighborhood will many wonderful restaurants, cafe's and markets within walking distance. Silvio was very accessible to us for any questions. When there was a minor repair needed, Silvio took care of it immediately when brought to his attention. I highly recommend Silvio's apartment for future travelers and would definitely return to his lovely home should we return to Rome.

Wonderful Apartment in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of four and needed an apartment in Rome that would allow our 18-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter to have their own rooms. Silvio's beautiful 5th-floor apartment fit the bill perfectly! We arrived mid-afternoon on a Saturday and called to let Silvio's assistant, Elena, know we had arrived. Parking was a bit difficult as there was nothing available near the apartment but we eventually found a spot around the corner. Be sure to park in a blue-striped spot and get a ticket at the machine 50 feet from the apartment. Elena met us at the door and we took the quaint, old-fashioned elevator upstairs (two at a time as it wouldn't hold all of us and our luggage). It's one of those really old ones that requires you to close a manual gate and two interior doors before it will move but we thought it added to the character of the place.

Once we got upstairs the kids were amazed by the spacious, contemporary interior. The first thing they checked was the WiFi and it was the best we encountered in Europe! The bedrooms are large, the beds themselves very comfortable and there are flat screen televisions everywhere (including in all three rooms). The master bedroom has a semi-attached bathroom - the other one is just off the large kitchen. Showers were large (watch it when stepping out of the one near the bathroom, there's about a 10-inch drop to the floor and you need to be careful). Water pressure was great and everything is spotlessly clean.

We had a small issue in that one of the air conditioners appears to be inoperable. A call to Silvio quickly sorted that out - you just have to be sure the window is closed and the latch completely engaged or the unit won't work. I loved his responsiveness when we were setting the reservation and he was equally responsive while we were there. We enjoyed the proximity of excellent restaurants nearby - do yourself a favor and try La Locanda. It is one block down Via Crescenzio (walk out the front door, turn left and then left again). Walk for 1 minute and you'll be enjoying one of the best Italian restaurants we dined at in our seven days in Italy (ask for Joya if she's available - wonderful server).

The Vatican and Ottaviano subway station are a 10 minute walk so the location couldn't be more perfect. The neighborhood is safe, trendy and clean.

The only complaint - paint around the doorways is cracking and needs some attention and the couch is a bit firm. Bottom line - rent it!!!

Excellent place

  • 5 of 5

For us this was the best choice in our trip. It is a very comfortable, spacious, clean and quite apartment. Very secure also. It had everything that we needed. The building is very quite and in very good conditions. Our family of 7 including a child and my parents with disability felt like in home all the time. It is in a great location very close to the Vatican. Silvio was in contact all the time to make sure everything was perfect. He also helped us with taxi from the airport in our arrival and to the train station when we left. No complaint at all. I highly recommend this place for everybody. Thanks Silvio, you really helped us having a great vacation in Rome!!!
