I was born and raised in the small town of Buffalo, WY. The only strangers were those that I had not met. Whenever we would travel, we would stay with family or friends. Rarely did we stay in a motel. A couple years ago, my daughter and I went to Alaska and planned on staying with an uncle. Plans got changed at the last minute, and a friend suggested I check into staying at a VRBO. I did, it was an awesome experience, and it was great for both my daughter and I . We not only saved on the cost of over noisy motels, we also saved on the cost of eating out all the time. We did our own cooking, and really enjoyed the time that we were able to share together. From then on, I have had the desire to make other's travel experiences as great as the ones my daughter and I did.
Let's be friends. Hope to see you soon. Happy and safe travels to you all, and if my place is not what you are looking for, there are many others in this area that might be. VRBO is how I want to go from now on. Thanks.
Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2010
I bought this home in 2010. I looked at over 100 homes and there were things I liked or didn't like about each of them. When I walked in the front door of this home, it just felt like home. The more I saw of the home, the better I liked it, and I could feel my dream becoming to come true. I have been most content here than any other place I have lived, except the homestead place in Buffalo, WY.
I have nice views of the mountains in the front, a quiet neighborhood, wonderful neighbors, a fenced in yard in the back, 6 person hot tub (another dream come true) and the gift of hospitality.
Nothing is very far away in Cody. We came for a wedding and could see my sister's house from the front porch. Location is nice and quite. We will visit again.
When we arrived Sunday afternoon , 10-09-2016 , we were greeted by our host , Neal Straight , a very friendly gentleman who opened his home to us . His home was VERY clean , comfortable , and well organized , with everything in it's place . Neal has a dog , Panda , a well disciplined and clean , house pet , that Neal had shampooed prior to our arrival , [ I had mentioned in a phone conversation that I am somewhat allergic to pet hair ] .
The beds were clean and comfortable , bathrooms and linens all clean , and living room furnishings quite comfortable .
Overall , a very comfortable and QUIET stay , at a most reasonable cost .
Thank you Neal for your hospitality .
Neal's Place was a great place to stay in Cody. We were greeted by Panda when we arrived and Neal had made sure everything we would need was ready. The place is clean and homey. It's amazing that Neal would open such a nice home up to guests. I only wish Neal had a home everywhere we traveled. If we return to Cody, this is where we will try to stay. Thanks for everything Neal.
