My brother, Gary Rottler originally purchased this property in 1993. In 2007 he rebuilt the house into his dream home naming it Ketchikan in honor of our father who died while fishing in Ketchikan, Alaska which he had been doing every summer for years. After Gary's premature death from cancer I purchased the property from his estate in an attempt to keep it in the family. Since I have a house nearby we would like to rent this house when not in use by family to help pay the freight. The LPA Board in their infinite wisdom has decided to limit rentals to one per month in an attempt to stop short term rentals but still allow monthly or longer rentals. We've had to go to a 7 day minimum since we can only rent it once per month. Steven Rottler

The 2007 remodel was done by Priestly Construction using top of the line materials. Geothermal heating and cooling was also installed. The irrigated lakeside lawn is large, flat and nicely shaded. The lake views are fantastic.
Great fishing right off the dock or from shore.
Where to begin? We rented the Ketchikan cabin for a family long weekend vacation. And to call it a "cabin" is a joke. It was amazing, even nicer than my home!
We were emailed the address by the owner and easily found it using Google Maps on my phone. I had shown the online photos of the place to my wife and family, but they simply didn't do the place justice. It was MUCH nicer in person than the photos indicated.
There were three large bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with a king bed, and one with a queen bed and bunk beds. Perfect for our family! The beds were comfortable, clean and each had a bathroom available. The kitchen was huge - lots of counter space for us to prepare our meals. The dining area was good, but we ate outside on the deck's table for almost every meal. We used the gas grill to cook many of the meals: burgers, steaks, etc. The grandchildren loved playing in the huge yard and they were always visible from the deck. We even watched our college football team on Saturday afternoon on the huge 55" TV!
The yard is where the best surprises were. There was a lot of lake shoreline, and much of it was in the shade. Perfect for sitting out and reading a book or just visiting. The small private beach was just the right size for our grandchildren. And there was a fire pit near the shore line that was perfect for s'mores!
The only drawback was that I had a sinus infection for most of our stay. We had such a wonderful time, we are already talking about next year!
We had a blast staying at the Ketchikan house. Had great fishing off the shoreline, several nights in the hot tub watching the sunset on the lake. Only had two nice days for boating but was still worth it. Kids had a great time fishing, trampolene, hot tub and just relaxing out by the lake Everything in the house is clean, orginized and beautiful. WIFI was great for the kids with their laptops and Ipads. We enjoyed every minute of our week stay and would highly recommend this lake front property. The owners are wonderful and it was a pleasure to stay. This home is absolutely beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. We look forward to coming back. Highly recommend if your looking for a nice lake front getaway!
