My Story Hotel Rossio
My Story Hotel Rossio
Situated on Rossio Square and near to everything. Lisbon is easily walkable, although hilly. Upgrade to a room fronting the Square. No noise, very nice large bathroom, compact bedroom but sufficient space for two people/three nights. Very welcoming, fresh breakfasts, pavement café. A winner!
Disappointing room in excellent location
Great location, great staff, not suitable for travelers with more than one suitcase. Not enough storage.
Uncomfortable bed that is too large for a small room. About 30 cm between the end of the bed and wall making it difficult to move around the room. Poor lighting in both main room and bathroom.
Looks good but not comfortable for more than a nights stay.
Hotel and Location very good
The hotel sent us an email with directions on how to find them, very helpful, we got the areobus and only had a short walk from where we got off at stop 8. We arrived at about 11.00 our room wasn't ready which we were expecting. We were leaving our luggage at reception when another member of staff informed us our room would be ready about 12.30 which was great, we found all the staff very friendly and helpful. When we got back to the hotel our luggage had already been taken to our room 305. The room was at the back of the hotel, it was excellent a large bed (the frame of the bed could have been about 6 inches smaller to give you a bit more space to walk at the bottom of the bed.), it had 2 couches, 2 TVs and 2 cupboards for your clothes. The room was very clean, the bathroom was quite spacious as well with a large shower. There was a good selection for breakfast.
Perfect place and great location. Wonderful staff that are genuinely super helpful. I am not one to comment on the staff at hotels but these folks were noticeable restaurant recommendations - notbthentoeed places that very guide book directs you to- but genuinely good local places.
Bottom line - great place to stay!
Great Location on Rossio Square
We lucked out with this hotel. It is conveniently located on Rossio near shopping, restaurants, cafes, the hop on yellow bus, and the train station. The room was clean and modern if a little small. Hotel staff very helpful too.
Honeymoon in Lisbon
The hotel is very boutique, with a number of fun and aesthetically interesting elements, such as the mirror-tv, Velcro blinds (very convenient for getting over jet-lag), cool lighting, and a commanding view of Rossio Square. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The bathroom and shower facilities were excellent as well. The only caveat was the size of the room, but we didn't mind at all as we were there to see the city. I couldn't recommend this place more.
