Wonderful cottage with amazing views and sunsets
My sister and I had a "sister's getaway" and stayed 6 nights at the Cousin's Cottage. The cottage was clean and stocked with all the necessities needed to cook, including Door County Co. coffee! The cottage itself is very cozy, well thoughtout and comfortable, including the beds. We chose not to cook and take in all the great restaurants in Door County. We were greeted on the deck with a vase of beautiful lilac's. There is a picnic table for outdoor eating and a fire pit. The views of the Bay from the cottage and the deck are absolutely spectacular. It is such a quiet, serene property, very relaxing. The weather was perfect, in the mid 70's so we were able to enjoy Pennisula State Park, White Dunes, lighthouses and the quaint shops in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay. Everything is within a 15 - 40 minute drive. We also stopped at several Farmer's Markets which were fun. We tried to get back to the cottage before dark so we could enjoy the amazing sunsets from the deck...they were spectacular!!. (Even saw a mother goose and her goslings one evening on the bay.) We had an amazing, relaxing time and hope to come back sometime; we didn't want to leave. Thank you Bryan and Diane for sharing this "little slice of Heaven".

Cottage with a Spectacular View!
My husband, sister & I spent 6 nights there during the Bassmaster Elite Angler of the Year tournament, and we were absolutely thrilled with our accomodations. The cottage is fully furnished with anything & everything that you might need, but the one thing we really enjoyed was all the windows facing the lake. You could sit indoors and enjoy the great view as well as sit outdoors on the roomy deck....best of both worlds! The owners' home is near so they're available if anything is needed, but we actually only saw them the day we arrived. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to stay there again. A great escape!
Following a busy and frenetic week in Chicago, Cousins cottage was a great place for some peace and quiet... or as much peace and quiet you can get with a 9 month old baby in tow! Bryan thought the cottage might not be that well kitted out for a baby but on arrival Bryan and Diane couldn't have been more helpful and very kindly let us borrow a high chair and a big box of toys for our little girl. The sunsets were AMAZING. Absolutely breathtaking. And we loved swimming in the calm waters of the lake and enjoying some local wine with the local wildlife while watching the sun go down. Midweek there was a wild storm and the huge waves washed the jetty away which added some drama. The wind whistled around the house and I thought the trees might fall on our heads but no, we stayed nice and cosy in the cottage :-). The cottage itself is lovely - really unique and quirky but had all you could want and need. It was just what we hoped for. I think we were the first UK visitors, and possibly also the first to come with a baby, and it worked for us! Great house, great location and great hosts. Can't get much better than that!

Nature + Nurture = Wonderful Stay
What a delightful experience! This stay delivered more than was promised and expected. The cabin was beautifully designed to offer the best view of the lake and autumn, and to keep us comfortable. Everything we needed was right there; we happily didn't have to leave for days (it was our honeymoon). Bryan and Diane were available if we needed them, sharing suggestions for restaurants and excursions. We did have several wonderful dinners out and visited several parks and beaches. It was amazing. We would recommend this to everyone!

Sunsets on the Bay
This was the second time we've stayed at "Cousins Cottage". We are still amazed with the beautiful sunsets and the water and the view in general. It's a great launch point for any activity anywhere in door county.

My wife and I have been coming to Door County on vacation since the mid 1980's. We acquired our home in 1989 and purchased Cousin's Cottage last year. The addition of this property expands our waterfront footage to 300 feet, which we share with potential renters.

Why they chose this property

This property helps to protect the beauty of the entire property and the wonderful vistas of the Bay of Green Bay. It is unique and has its own personality throughout the seasons.

What makes this property unique

Cousin's Cottage is appropriately named because the kids simply love its style, uniqueness and location. There is nothing more pleasant to have Cousin's Cottage bring family together. It has also proven to be a wonderful honeymoon destination.
