WINTER UNAVAILABLE OWNER OCCUPIED On Barbados' beautifully flowered and treed west coast, and located in Holetown, St.James, this lovely upper-level, one-bedroom condominium is beachside with beautiful views over the Caribbean, both by day and night. It has a fully equipped, custom fitted renovated kitchen, with gas stove and electronic ignition. A spacious living/diningroom area opens out to the comfortably furnished balcony overlooking the beach, offering 'magical' sunsets every evening provided by Mother Nature. The bedroom has a king-size or two twin beds, airconditioning, which is often not required, as the condominium complex is well situated in the path of the Tradewinds, which provide gentle breezes thoughout, so it's possible to leave the doors and windows open daily, as the condo has lockable wrought iron gates, front and back. The livingroom has convertible sofas which can also be used for sleeping two extra family members, as they make up into two single beds. There is WIFi, plus hispeed 4G internet access modem with cable for USB port & phone making communication simple. The dining area comfortably seats 5. The full bathroom has a separate vanity with granite counter top, dressing area with mirrors and hairdryer, plus ample storage space and security chest for safe keeping of documents, valuables Condo has its own hot watersystem so there is never a shortage of hot water,(plus water is drinkable right out of the tap, as Barbados has some of the best water in the world!) There are portable fans, celing fans, airconditioning, cable TVs, DVD, phones, microwave, coffee maker, blender, all linens dishes and glasses .

The tropical garden providing a luxuriant oasis for relaxation, has wifi available. It has a freshwater pool, freshwater shower and lounge chairs, umbrellas, and is beachside - the sea, just a few steps away with excellent snorkelling right off the beach on the new submerged reef. Sunbed mattresses are stored in the condo's garden lockup for extra comfort. The beach, being on the west coast is calm and tranquil, and safe for swimming, with a new man made submerged reef, which is now home to over 50 different species of fish, from tangs, parrots, puffers, black damsels, French angels, etc. so it also tames any errant waves,! Close by are Water sports and red jetski (66H) operator Mali provides discounted rates to our guests and can arrange the best rate for other hires. It's an easy few minute stroll to Surfside beach bar which has a steel band for happy hour on a Sunday, or the shopping centre, from which buses run every few minutes into the city centre or to places of interest. All beaches are public. There are banks, car hire, taxis, and local inexpensive buses into Bridgetown, and 'tourist attractions' which are used by both visitors and local alike.

Holetown is 28 km from the airport, and is home to many fashionable restaurants, and the upscale new Lime Grove mall. Bars, Dining and shopping are within easy walking distance, and many watersports are available on the beach at your doorstep. There are 2 nightclub, plus a new dine-in cinema! close by for evening entertainment. There is also the well known 1st St, street party on Sunday nights with karaoke twice a month . Easily reaching by bus or car, are many different types of 'tourist attractions' such as Huntes Gardens, Orchid World, the Flower Forest, Andromeda Gardens, a pocket rainforest 'Welchman's Gully', a Wild Life Centre and many historic plantation homes open to the public, Plus the local parish church built in 1629 St. James,' whose bell,, was cast by the same foundry that made the original Liberty Bell is within an easy walk !. Harrison's Caves, provide a fascinating tour of illuminated underground caverns, and at the north of the island is the Animal flower Cave, where one can swim in an underground cave (weather permitting) or thrill to the huge Atlantic rollers crashing into the cliffs. Swimming with the endangered turtles is a very popular activity and many people choose to take a "cat" trip out for the day to do this. Visitors also like scuba diving and snorkelling at Folkestone, the marine park, a 10 minute walk away, or for those who prefer less far to walk, the outer edge of the new manmade reef of protective Nova Scotia granite, outside the condos is amazing with its large diversity of fish and now starting to grow coral too! There're also sea trips on the Jolly Roger, Atlantis submarine, and glass bottom boats. Other activities are horseback riding on the beach, fishing - deep sea, or off the beach. Tennis and golf are nearby. Popular spectator sports are horse racing, polo, surfing, cricket and a sport's bar shows TV matches

We recommend applying for the re-discover voucher available free from the re-discover website - so that visitors can take advantage of the special program whereby one can dine at certain upscale restaurants, which are offering a 3 course meal, tax, tip, and a bottle of wine per couple for just $100 US (one must pre-book and specify the re-discover menu) - there is also a 10% discount off many luncheon venues with the voucher, and discounts at some tourist attractions too - plus one can also enter a free competition for a week's stay next year free!

Dine at one of the 50 best restaurants in the world! - The Cliff -reservations are required. Or visit the famous Sandy Lane Hotel, one of the most luxurious, and upmarket hotels worldwide, popular with the rich and famous, is just a 10 minute drive away. Holetown also has numerous bars and restaurants, ranging from fast food to bistros, and gourmet dining, and 'take out' is provided from many restaurants, rum shops, and roadside stands.

Barbados offers an opportunity to experience a Caribbean lifestyle influenced by its traditional British history. The first settlers arrived in1627, and the island still retains its British Parliamentary system. It has a reliable infrastructure, and offers the comforts and safety of most Western countries.

Since the island is roughly triangular in shape, the 3 coasts offer a totally different ambience. The east coast bordered by the Atlantic ocean, is wild, rugged, beautiful, isolated, and unsuitable for swimming in most areas, and does host an international surfing competition in November. The south coast, has heavy surf, and is ideal for bogie boarding, body surfing or going to surf school, while being more industrial, commercial, and having numerous fast food outlets, and local markets. The west coast, known internationally as the Platinum Coast, borders the blue Caribbean Sea, which is normally calm and suitable for all varieties of water sports.

As Barbados lies outside the hurricane belt, being too far east and south for most hurricanes to develop,so the usual weather is blue sunny skies and white puffy clouds, normal showers being of short duration. Average daily high 30C. Sea temperature's a constant 80F or even warmer in the summer .

This was a case of love at first sight - we had searched for a suitable condo without success - and one day we discovered #1 Palm Beach in Holetown., - just knew we would never find anything as perfect - so in one mad moment we purchased it!

We have never regretted it - still the most perfect place for us. Close to absolutely everything we need or want - restaurants, great supermarket, take outs, library, medical services, gas station, movie theatre, calm sea, snorkelling, access to fresh fish, - our little corner of paradise!

What makes this condo unique

Absolutely everything we want - right within easy walking distance! - unbeatable!

Having searched all along the west coast - we are unaware of any condo with the spectacular view seen from the balcony of condo #1 - it shows the entire panorama of the bay - and is literally 10 feet from the beach.

There is absolutely nothing that we want that we cannot find close by - it is the most convenient place we have ever lived!

There are 2 sleeper sofas in the lounge making a corner unit which convert to two single beds. Balcony is spacious with comfortable armchairs and foot stools .Pool area has comfortable chaise lounges and beach/pool umbrellas are available. Small extra laundry supplement is charged when more than 2 people use the apartment. This is a unique luxury condominium apartment - and has a spectacular location unlike any other on the St. James, West Coast, as it is both beachfront, but Not on the main road , so No constant traffic noise! The property maintains a high standard of cleanliness and security. Air port pick up can be arranged. Fantastic Beach Front Condo!!

We have stayed at Palm Beach Condos a few times now but were able to rent No.1 for my partner's 50th Birthday in November! As you can see this condo couldn't be any closer to the beach!! It was lovely to be able to sit on the balcony watching the sun set or just people watching. You don't come across many places like this to stay on the west coast. The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more.

I had asked Pat (who lives there permanently) to arrange for a birthday cake to be made. Bless her, she did a great job for me even though the bakery charged a small fortune it was well worth it!! It's not just the location of these condos that makes it such a wonderful place to stay but the people too. Dayle & George (the owners) had thoughtfully sent a birthday card to my partner as did Pat. What a lovely touch!! We really do feel so at home here. There are some super restaurants close to the apartment or should you get the urge to cook, there is a great supermarket 5 minutes walk away.

Vita comes in to clean the apartment a few times a week and is always so welcoming.

Like many other people, we have come to love this place. The fact that people return year after year speaks for itself. I'm almost reluctant to write a review as I don't want too many people to know about it!!

Great value for money!! Can't wait to return!!

We stayed in #1 Condo wanting 17 nights of total relaxation and we got it. This Holetown condo has the best location and view, straight out onto the beach front...and you are into the clear warm sea within seconds of leaving the condo. The apartment is comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy a self catering holiday. There is a lovely private garden and pool just to the side of the condos. A slight disappointment was that quite a lot of the local bars and restaurants were closed whilst we were there, refurbishing or staff taking a break in anticipation of the start of high season. It is so easy to get a bus to nearby resorts and the locals are friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket just over the road and a cheaper larger one in the town of Fitts, a short bus ride away. The weather was fantastic and the nearby beach and warm sea made this one of our best holidays ever. Thank you Dayle and George ....

Fantastic location in Holetown

My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks in this beachfront condo in June. The condo is well equipped for a self catering holiday. It is a comfortable and clean apartment that has an amazing view from the balcony, right across the beautiful beachfront in Holetown, exactly as pictured. You can walk to the supermarket and restaurants and the Lime Grove mall in 5 mins or less depending on how fast you walk. The bus stop is also a few mins. walk if you want to go to Oistins or Bridgetown, which we did many times. You can also stroll along the beachfront right outside the back door, in both directions, it is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to come back another time during the busy period as it was very quiet in June, not many people around at all. The sea was crystal clear and the weather was hot. I would definitely recommend this area and this apartment for its superb location for a lovely beach holiday.

This is our first time in Barbados, it truly will not be the last,

The condo #1 is ( I simply have not got enough words to describe)

amazing view, everything you will need from cooking utensils , towels to maid service, amazing place, all your dreams are here, Paradise,

thank you so so much to Dayle and George for letting us stay And with out doubt we will be back to stay at #1 CONDO.

It is a must on every aspect, locals so friendly, retaurants gorgeous, MALI amazing guy....

1 Palm Beach Condos, wonderful holiday destination

We have just returned from another great holiday at #1, Palm Beach Condos in Holetown. We have been staying here for many years now and cannot imagine staying anywhere else. The condo is in a block of just 14 and is superbly situated just feet from the beach. It has a large balcony overlooking the beach and beautiful tropical gardens which are very well maintained. There is also a lovely quiet pool. The condo is very well furnished and comprises a very well equipped kitchen, large sitting room, bedroom, bathroom and dressing area, as well as the large balcony with fantastic views. There is air conditioning and plenty of fans so it is pleasantly cool. Within easy walking distance there are many bars and restaurants, as well as a large supermarket and lots of other shops and banks. The Lime Grove Centre is very close by and well worth a visit. The manageress lives in one of the condos and so is able to give advice on places to visit. We look forward very much to our 3 weeks here every year - it is a perfect holiday destination.

Beautiful Condo with Wonderful Sea/Beach Views

We have been staying at #1 Palm Beach for many years now and always look forward to returning. It has the most wonderful views of the sea and beach and the sunsets can be amazing. We love it for its privacy and location and we have never found anything better anywhere.

#1 condo is very well looked after and has everything you need in the kitchen to eat in if you wish. We always eat in a few times during our stay. There is one large bedroom with air conditioning and a lovely living room. The balcony is just wonderful either to sit and read a book or people watch or to just look out at the sea. We have always been very well looked after by Pat who lives in one of the condos and is the manager, she is very helpful should you need any information about the island.

There are 14 condos in all which share a lovely garden and private swimming pool. It is very close to all amenities, a very well stocked supermarket no more than 10 minutes walk away and many restaurants within a 5 minute walk. What could be better.

To get around the island we usually use the local buses which are always entertaining (especially the yellow buses) and very inexpensive. We have always found everybody very helpful and if you are uncertain they make sure you get off at the right stop.

With our thanks to the owners Dayle and George and we are already looking forward to our holiday next year.
