Perfect getaway and location

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a few days to get away and relax, and this house was perfect! So cute and very clean. The house was set up with everything we needed and more, I am looking forward to coming back! The weather was perfect and we were able to spend time in town, go to the peach festival and visit the local winery. Thank you so much!!!

This is a smallish house but it accommodated me very well. Clean kitchen and other rooms also.

Wonderful location/time! Would definitely come back.

This was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing time. The place was perfect! Loved the basket of extra necessities. We forgot our toothbrushes so this saved a trip to the store. Everything was perfect - thanks for sharing this lovely home!

Nice House, Caring Owner

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a few days away in a quite town near some water. While I'd never been to, or heard of, Colonial Beach, it seemed to fit the bill based on everything I had read and from seeing it from the air on a return trip to BWI. I Picked this house based on cost and reviews. Then we got a note from the owner indicating that there had been a bad storm the weekend before our arrival. The town was back in business but quite a few trees were down and we had the option of canceling. This is why I love renting VRBO properties! We chose to make the trip. Admittedly the town was still recovering but all was as advertised. We could walk or bike to restaurants or the water. The streets are peaceful. The people are great. The house is as advertised as well. Clean, cozy and well maintained. There is no central air but the window unit worked fine in combination with the ceiling fans. There is off street parking. The bed is comfortable. Missy is great to work with and took very good care of us. While she lives close by, there was no hovering. We had our privacy. Based on her recommendation, we ate at Denson's Grocery. Do the research, it's an amazing find and you'll need reservations. Fresh seafood and the menu changes daily depending upon what's fresh. Give it all a try. We also ride bikes and hit the Indian Head rail trail on the way down from PA. Very nice trail, I suggest starting in Indian Head so you're riding up the grade on the way out and down on the way back.

Great weekend escape!!

  • 4 of 5

It was ashamed that the weather did not cooperate. The home and community were amazing. Before our arrival they had horrible weather that brought ants indoors but Missey L. made sure we were taken care of. Thanks Missey for a great get together weekend with my daughters.
