4 Bedroom, 3 1/2 Bath Lake Front Home

This 4 BR, 3 1/2 BA home features 2 Master Bedrooms--one upstairs and one down. Both offer private baths plus there are 2 additional bedrooms--one features 4 Bunk beds and the other offers a full size bed. The home has a living room, family room, formal dining room as well as an eat in kitchen and a utility room with an extra refrigerator and washer/dryer. The home also features a screened in lake front porch, beautifully landscaped lakefront patio, grassy front yard lake side and a three car garage.

About owner/property manager

I grew up on Lake Manitou and now live in Southern California. I have fond memories of my youth and the times I spent on Lake Manitou so purchased this home in 2005 as a way of staying connected to the Lake.

Why owner/property manager chose Indiana

While my parents home was on the east side of the lake and was beautiful, I chose the west side of the lake and this home in particular for several reasons. The sun rises on the lake side of the house so sitting out on the patio or in the screened porch area with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise and the birds and wildlife awaken is spectacular. We also don't have the glare of the sun over the lake at then end of the day since the lake side of the house faces east, so whether you enjoy sunrise or sunset, it's equally enjoyable! Since we are off the beaten path at the end of Wolf's Point Drive, there is little traffic so strolling Wolf's Point is quiet and pleasant. Plus, we are situated close to the head of the lake which offers abundant opportunity to observe wildlife.

What makes this house unique

Our property features a 3 car garage so-- lots of storage space. We use the 3rd stall for storage so you will have the use of 2 stalls for your vehicles and/or equipment. The property also features plenty of places to park cars given the large driveway serving the 3 car garage and the additional parking area near the entrance to the gated side yard. Parking at lake properties is often limited--but not here!

Wonderful home on the lake.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this property. Working with the property owner was a pleasure. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The bedroom with 2 bunk beds was perfect for our grandsons--ages 5 to 10. And the master bedrooms were lovely. The public beach on the other side of the lake was small, but clean and a great place for the kids to swim.

Home Sweet Home!

Our extended family of 11 had an awesome time while staying on Lake Manitou. The house was roomy and comfortable. The lake area is serene, and a neighbor was nearby to assist with questions as needed. Our stay included a trip to the Fair Oaks Farm where we saw newborn piglets and calves. We enjoyed the Streamliner and Jarrety's restaurants, and Flirt is a lovely boutique. We can't wait to stay here again!

Our home is located on beautiful Lake Manitou. We face the lake and are located on quiet Wolf's Point Drive which is a great area for walking or bike riding without traffic. Access to the scenic 42 mile Nickel Plate bike path is very close to the house. Or just bike or walk the scenic country roads which are also easily accessible from the house. Explore the head of the lake for incredible bird watching and wildflowers. You can kayak or go tubing on the lake although we do not have a kayak or a tube--you would need to bring your own.

An initial non-refundable deposit of 50% of the rental fee is due in order to make a reservation along with completion of an application which will be sent to you upon request. Additionally, a security deposit of $1,000 is required which will be fully refunded and returned in total if no damage is incurred. A $150.00 cleaning fee will be added to the rental charge and is due 30 days prior to check in along with the balance of the rental fee. If you are renting the pontoon boat and have submitted all the required information to the owner and received owner approval to rent the boat, a rental of fee of $700.00 per week must be submitted 30 days prior to check in as well.
