The cottage is much cuter in person. It’s very rustic, but in a charming way. The kitchen is fully updated & has everything you might need. The best part is the screened-in porch. There are lots of mosquitos & we didn’t realize how valuable the screened in porch would be until we got there. It also kept the cottage nice & cool & the kids loved the porch swing. It was very comfortable sleeping at night. We were hesitant about no tv (we have pre-teen & teenage kids) but no one missed it. It was a short walk (one block to shuffle board/tennis & the little town center and approx 2 blocks to the beach. They have bikes & beach chairs they allow you to borrow. Very well equipped. The only drawbacks to the cottage were: (1) the inside shower was a little tricky to use. They have a nice outdoor shower, but the girls felt a little uncomfortable using as their main shower and (2) there is no gas grill (they have a charcoal grill)....but those are minor details. We had a great time.
Amazing camp style cottage with a great kitchen. The beach house still carries the throw back feel of Ocean Park. Loved the wrap around porch and great location.
Cluttered, too much stuff, needs a good cleaning cob webs included, blankets and rugs, etc.
Loved the wrap around porch but too many pieces of old furniture just taking up space i.e. 4 tables, one with broken leaf. No table inside so all meals had to be on the porch. No TV as owner expressed this was a choice to bring families closer togeather....however WIFI available and as most kids have electronic devices they can be just as distracted as when a TV is available....so why not provide a TV unless this is a cost too burdensome for the owner? Touch much stuff get rid of the personal stuff, jewelry boxes, how many bread baskets does one cottage need I counted 6 + 10 cutting boards. Kitchen lights dimmed perceptively on our last two days....electrical problem? Did like the newly renovated kitchen, spacious. Upstairs bathroom should be converted to a shower, existing bath to awkward for showers with the wrap around shower curtains so most of our showers were taken outside. One fan didn't work properly and not enough provided for all bedrooms. Cottage is too expensive for what you get.
Loved that the porch and the kitchen were spacious and functional but the whole place still has the charm of old Ocean Park.
Our stay here was a blast! I hope we can go back yearly. Rustic and perfect. Close to the beach.
Our two year old loved being on the porch, and it locks so he couldn't escape. Our ten year old rode her bike to the beach every day. I love the neighborhood. The cottage is rustic and beautiful. Kitchen is nice and equipped. The porch is the best.
Nice Location 2 blocks from beach
Great spot! We loved how they have kept the integrity of the cottage. Very peaceful and relaxing and a short walk to the beach.
